Blanchard Elementary is proud to be one of the few remaining small-town, traditional, neighborhood schools in the area.

We serve approximately 400 students from pre-kindergarten through 3rd Grade.

Fireworks Safety Tips: If You Choose to Use Legal Fireworks

If you choose to use fireworks, be sure to follow the following safety tips:

● Never allow young children to handle fireworks
● Older children should use them only under close adult supervision
● Never use fireworks while impaired by drugs or alcohol
● Anyone using fireworks or standing nearby should wear protective eyewear
● Never hold lighted fireworks in your hands
● Never light them indoors.

DBMS principal Mrs. Wall is moving to Central Office, so there will be a community meeting at Donnie Bickham Middle School in the auditorium Tuesday, July 2, at 5:30 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to get input on the next principal. Our Eagles go to DBMS after third grade, so please consider going to have a say in their next principal.

Twenty schools were awarded the 2023 ENERGY STAR Certification during Tuesday's Caddo Parish School Board meeting! Buildings must perform in the top 25 percent nationwide for energy efficiency to earn the special designation.

The Caddo Parish School Board is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to all eligible children without charge. Due to widespread power outages and impacted roadways as a result of Sunday night’s storms, all Caddo schools and sites will be closed Monday, April 29th.

We are actively working with our utility partners as they work to restore services.

Blanchard Louisiana. Field day is Friday May 3, afterwards will be the field day carnival where we will have bounce houses and food trucks. The wristband can be purchased at https://www.locallevelevents.com/events/details/33331

The deadline is Friday. The wristband will get your students in the bounce houses unlimited times (for their age level) and a drink/snack.

Test Taking Tips
1. Gather materials the night before - clothes for the next day, water bottle, snack, etc.
2. Get a good night’s sleep.
3. Eat a healthy breakfast.

Blanchard Eagles were well represented in Shreveport and Monroe today! Third graders took part in Art Break performances with Coach Linder and Ms. McGee, in addition to showcasing artwork with Mrs. Rosalee. Additionally, one of BES's youngest Eagles, Jett Carmichael, threw out the opening pitch at the USSSA Angels 4 Autism softball tournament in Monroe. Great job, everyone!
