As I was preparing a grocery list earlier this morning, I heard the Lord whisper, “What makes you think the grocery store will have those items?”

I completely stopped what I was doing and said, “What?” And immediately I heard the same question, “What makes you think the grocery store will have those items?”

Strange question, right?

Well, you see, I’ve been to the grocery store quiet a few times, and I’m confident that they’ll have the things I’m searching for, so I confidently write them down on my list without even questioning.

They’ve been faithful to carry my favorite products for years, so I don’t even question anymore. I confidently make the trip to town, go in, and pick up the things I need. Sure, sometimes I may settle for a different style or brand name, but generally I have no issues.

However, when I go to the Lord, do I go to him with the same confidence that I place in the local store carrying the things I need and want?

Do I pray with confidence?
Do I enter into His presence with that same expectancy?

That’s what the Lord was highlighting for me today when He questioned my grocery list.

God has been faithful time and time again, with continual faithfulness to me, and yet does my confidence in Him reflect that?

I don’t know if you needed that reminder like I did, but regardless of what you need today, let me assure you the Lord has plenty in stock!

Joy, peace, love, deliverance, mercy, grace, healing, and the list goes on and on.

His supply isn’t running low; He’s got plenty!

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
