Friday is a First Friday Dress Day! Pay $2 and wear your cozy fall sweaters, sweatshirts, and sweatpants. Please note that if you are not participating in the fundraiser, you should wear regular dress code attire.

This past weekend, four Brashier students attended the YMCA Youth In Government Leadership Training Conference. Eden J, Izzie W, Jessica M, and Kaya H spent two days preparing for the upcoming conference where they learned how to preside and clerk over a chamber in mock government. They also learned leadership skills necessary for being successful at YIG, which is Nov. 6-9 in Columbia.
Booster Club is sponsoring a pumpkin decorating contest. Enter to win cash! See Mrs. Kraft at the front desk to enter today through the 31st. Voting will take place Oct. 31st.
Mrs. Shuler's English 3 class had a "dance party" in which they made connections between song lyrics and The Scarlet Letter as a review.
Students who worked diligently in Q1 and earned an 80 or above in all their high school classes received a candy bar at lunch yesterday! Great job to all of these students! Keep working hard!

Mr. Pouch's Spanish 1 students recently made piñatas to celebrate a successful first quarter!
Many Brashier students volunteer with Let There Be Mom for service hours. Let There Be Mom's annual Dine Out For Mom fundraiser is today! You can support the organization by eating at one of the 171 participating restaurants! Twenty percent of the entire day's profit will go to support local families whose moms and dads have life-threatening illnesses.

Sophomores and juniors who registered for the PSAT will take it Friday, Oct. 25th. Students should report to their testing sites and be ready to begin testing promptly at 8 AM. The bell schedule for the 25th will be different to accommodate testing. We will not meet in Enrichment on Friday, Oct 25.

Students at Brashier participated in Twin Day during Dig Pink Week. The volleyball team sponsors the week to raise awareness about breast cancer.
Congratulations Wade Chandgie for placing FIRST in the STATE 3A championship meet in the 100m freestyle race and second in the 50m freestyle race! We are so proud of Wade and ALL of our Brashier boys who swam Tuesday. And, good luck to the girls who compete on Thursday!

Brashier Senior Kaylee Coker is hosting a vendor fair as part of her senior project, and she is looking for vendors. Check it out!
Tell your friends to grab their gently used shoes or buy some new ones and bring them to Brashier for the BETA Club Shoe Drive Oct. 12th from 9-noon. Drop them off at Brashier 1830 West Georgia Road.
Herff Jones will meet with seniors at 9:15 and juniors at 9:45 on Friday, October 11th to talk to seniors about ordering graduation supplies and to juniors about ordering class rings. Plan to be there!
