Sacrificial Prayer Ministries
Sacrificial Prayer is a non-profit organization under the leadership of Minister Anna Hawthrone Scripture states to give as it is given unto us.
Purpose
One of the purposes of our organization is to encourage, teach, and aid churches in setting up active prayer ministries through prayer conferences and/or prayer retreats. With the support of our prayer partners and friends, it is our goal to reach out to the lost through the preaching and teaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to minister to the oppressed, the sick and the hurt as God
Wishing you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday.
Wishing all who have served this country a HAPPY VETERAN’S DAY!!
NOVEMBER THOUGHTS:
Thanksgiving is around the corner, and many people are just thankful for being alive after two years of living out a pandemic that has spread across the world. This pandemic has affected everyone at one point or another.
Thinking about a book I partially listen to through my audible app, I thought about doing something different this year for Thanksgiving. In the book, the author challenges his students to write a prayer request, meditate on it, and place it in a box called the “God Box,” which symbolizes the individual turning their anxieties about the prayers over to Jesus entirely. The idea is based on the Scripture found in 1 Peter 5:7 - casting your cares.
Instead, I would create a “What am I thankful for?” box. Anytime someone thinks of something they are thankful for, they would write it down and place the note in the box. At Thanksgiving, before the breaking of bread, read some of the notes. I'm pretty sure someone will realize how blessed they are or be amazed at how much the Lord truly loves them. For the Scripture states that man should give thanks in all things. (Philippians 4:4-7)
So, we pray that you have a beautiful Thanksgiving. Until next time, may Lord continue to shine His face upon you., and let us continue to have a heart of Thanksgiving. Be safe, and God bless. 🦃 🍂😊❤️
Please remember the book signing of Minister Anna Hawthorne which will be November 13, 2021, this coming Saturday. See flyer on page for more details.
October Thoughts:
When a person thinks about October, they think of autumn leaves or the beginning of fall, when porches and doors are lined and filled with decorative reeves, pumpkins, stacks of hay, and leaves, and the contrast of brown, yellow, orange, red and green, found in every nook and corner of a warm-felt home. Also, it is the start of chimneys at night piping their aroma of cedarwood in the air of the neighborhoods and the fragrance of pies, jams, cider, and cakes filling the kitchen space, especially coffee cake, which marks the beginning of the festivities of the winter months.
Yet, it also reminds a person of the many blessings they received over the past three seasons unmeritedly, especially after the gloomy shutdown of businesses and schools due to unforeseen pandemic which hit the earth unexpectedly. These thoughts of blessings even remind some individuals like myself of the Beatitudes found in Matthew 5 – the blessings of promises.
According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, beatitude means “the utmost bliss,” which is also synonymous with “blessedness,” “felicity,” “gladness,” “happiness,” “joy,” and “warm fuzzies.” It brings joy to individuals who try to walk by these standards in their own lives even though these proclamations were directly given to the disciples during the ministry of Jesus Christ. These are the proclamations set forth by Him during the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:3-12)**:
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (Humility)
4Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. (Sensitivity)
5Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. (Meekness)
6Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they will be filled. (Obedience)
7Blessed are the merciful, for they shall be shown mercy. (Compassion)
8Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. (Holiness)
9Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the sons of God. (Reconciliation)
10Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (Commitment)
11Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. (Patience)
12Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for, in the same way, they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
That being said, October is the beginning of half of the year on the Jewish Calendar. So, let this season be a season that begins with joy and blessings for you with the understanding that righteous characteristics mean something to God so much so that he lists these blessings as a reminder that a person's life or how a person lives is of value to Christ.
Until next month, we pray that you have a WONDERFUL and JOYOUS-filled month of October. God bless.
