I will not be throwing bones at the Connecticut Witch Trials event. Why? I will not name names, but there is a “psychic” with a storefront on PRATT St. who told the organizers of the event (today with the event being next weekend) that he can’t have any readers or healers.
Small, low energy, fear of “competition” mindset is not a good look.
And being suddenly told we (all of us who were going to be participating) that we can’t be there is in effect stealing from us.
Feel free to look up the shop and give her a piece of your mind on the part of those of us who are legitimate in the work we do.

Yesterday all I wanted to do was sleep. I had a very busy weekend with divinations at 2 different events. I need a rest day after travel and a larger volume of readings. The thing is that Sunday is the day I tend to my altars, change out offerings, light candles, and like every day sit with my spirits. Since I was away on Sunday I told my spirits I’d do everything Monday. I promised them coffee and a cookie today for the good weekend.
Even though I wanted to spend the day in my room sleeping and watching movies and I didn’t want to go out in the rain, I dragged myself out of bed yesterday. I tended to my altars, did my rituals, and sat with my spirits.
Today I went to the store and bought cookies.
Spiritual work is a commitment. It is a way of life.
Sure you can just dabble, hit it part time, or only go to your ancestors and spirits when you want something, but you won’t have a strong foundation and your relationship won’t be mutual.
What you experience and receive is dependent on the work you put into it.
You can’t expect a strong connection and favorable life if your practice is half-a$$ed.
Start, commit, and don’t make excuses.

Today was definitely a day. Started off sunny, hot, and very humid. Then there were torrential thunderstorms. It was so much fun driving on 84 with so much rain and lightning I couldn’t see all while the road was flooding. 😬

Between the sunny morning and torrential rain I did a reading and met a new friend.
Now I’m ready for food and rest.

This morning I had the cutest interaction with one of my bees!
It was walking near the door of my sacred space. I said hi to the bee and good morning. It stopped, lifted a foot and waited. I gave it a high 5 with my finger and pet its back. I had to go grab a candle and it wanted another high 5.
If you’ve never high 5’vd a bumblebee, you’re really missing out! 😂

Pay attention to what you’re pulling when you’re weeding.

I went out and tended to my umsamo and other altars then sat and spent some time talking to my spirits. I have statues that I made over 30 years ago at the sides of the door outside.
I came outside to see this. 💙
