The last two days we gave out 115 Days for Girls International period kits to our two local secondary school. We love getting to see these girls grow in strength, dignity, and confidence. Every girl should have the right to go to school everyday with out having to miss due to lack of supplies. We love working with this amazing organization to meet the needs of girls in this community!
Thank you to these generous sponsors! Check out some of the wonderful live auction items and buy your tickets to our November 14th A Night of Hope fundraiser at https://one.bidpal.net/stemm/welcome
Pretty amazing day, yesterday. Mhe. Dkt. Samia Saluhu Hassan, president of Tanzania, happened to be in Des Moines yesterday. Founder Dr. Steve Meyer, Wilson, Sadhia, and Doreen all had the opportunity drive down to meet her (after 6 years!). Mama Samia, as the then Vice President, was largely responsible for saving their lives after the accident by greenlighting their removal to Sioux City for subsequent surgeries and convalescence that would save their lives. She also challenged the kids to study hard at Western Iowa Tech Community College because people have taken risks for them. Then, when they finish their studies in Sioux City, come back to Tanzania and be difference makers. We at STEMM know they will. If you want to learn more about their story, we have recently signed a contract with a production company to tell this story on the big screen. It is truly miraculous and will say great things about Sioux City, Tanzania, and will be a testament to the fact that God still is in the business of doing miracles.
If you wish to be involved with this amazing organization, come to our Night of Hope auction on Nov 14. Dare ‘ya to get involved. The life you change might be your own. Half price for teachers ( current, future, and former). stemm.org for details and tickets.

Every child deserves a seat in the classroom and the chance to learn. Thanks to the generosity of our incredible partners, we were able to transform this classroom at Msitu Wa Mbogo Primary School, providing brand new desks, chairs, cement, and paint for these eager students. ✨
This is just the beginning! We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Briar Cliff Enactus as we work together to create more welcoming learning environments for students in need. 🌍
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this possible. Stay tuned for more updates as we keep striving to create brighter futures, one classroom at a time. ❤️
We are so excited to launch renovated operation theater room and renovated ambulance to the Mbuguni Health Center. We laid hands in prayer over both and are excited to see how this will bless the local community. Current, people need to travel for 1.5 hours to reach the next hospital in case of an emergency operation. Join with us in prayer that this may save lives ♥️
Our art projects continue! This time we made mud cloth from Mali. We dyed our fabrics and practiced making designs. We love expressing our creative side 🥰
Mama Abigail is one of the most amazing woman we know. She is kind, loving, a prayer warrior, and can even make ugali for over 50 people. She is the definition of a strong woman.
Meet our head mama!

Happy Birthday to one of the most loving and active kids at STEMM Children's Village, Omary! He is so filled with joy and excited to meet new people. He makes people feel so welcomed and his smile is infectious. We love seeing him grow, even though it feels too fast! We are praying for him to grow big, strong, and filled with joy and love for the Lord.
We appreciate Daniel more than words can express!
The kids at STEMM Children's Village take pride in maintaining their own garden, where they grow fresh and nutritious foods like eggplants, greens, and other vegetables. While they receive some help from our staff, this garden is a valuable part of teaching them life skills, responsibility, and the importance of hard work. It's all about helping them grow into strong, independent adults.
A masterpiece by Deo. At STEMM we have a goal to let each child find their potential. Everyone has God given talents and skills. Childhood is such a sweet time to find that. We love to see the joy and pride of children when they are developing their skills.
We are so thankful for Daniel Laizer and all he does for STEMM!
“Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done.” - Proverbs 19:17
School is out for students until the 16th in Tanzania. That means more days filled with art for the kids that will be staying at STEMM. We are thankful for Nicole, an art teacher from Iowa, for bringing these amazing art lessons focused on learning different cultures from around Africa. This project we learned about cloth from Nigeria.
Hospitality is one of the greatest gifts that can be shared. Thank you Bryn for your time and gifts that were spent your three weeks in Tanzania 🇹🇿💙
Congratulations to all the STEMM top students of 2024. We are in awe of how hard each student has worked and are so proud of each. They have shown determination and grit. We are thankful for their parents (picture 2) who are there to support them along the way, and the teachers (picture 3) who keep teaching and giving these students hope.
