Today's Mission Monday is the Helpline Center . The Helpline Center helps thousands of people each year! The Helpline Center is the only entity in the state of South Dakota accredited by the Alliance for Information and Referral Systems and the only organization that provides a certified crisis line through the American Association of Suicidology.
The mission of the Helpline Center is making lives better by giving support, offering hope, and creating connections all day, every day. They fulfill this mission through the following core service areas: 211 Helpline and 988 Lifeline.
The funds raised from have been instrumental in allowing the Helpline Center to enhance and provide critical programming activities for mental health promotions, su***de prevention, and su***de after care support.
Thank you Helpline Center for all the lives that have been impacted by your 50 years of service!

On Tuesday, March 12, 2024, the new IRS Direct File tool launched in 12 pilot states, South Dakota is one of those pilot states. For the first time in U.S. history, the IRS has created a free online tax filing tool to file your taxes directly with the IRS. Available in English and Spanish.

The Non-Profit Exchange
Inspired by the success that 1 Million Cups has had educating and inspiring the entrepreneurial business community in Sioux Falls, the Helpline Center wanted to capitalize on a similar model for non-profits dedicated to human services and created the Non-Profit Exchange.
The Non-Profit Exchange is a monthly educational meeting designed for non-profits to hear from other area non-profits providing interesting programs and to exchange ideas and connections with each other.
Each month, one new presenter will share for 15 minutes on a new, innovative or interesting program at a non-profit followed by 15 minutes of Q&A. Following this presentation, there will be a 5 minute capacity building speaker to help build and sustain non-profits in their work.
Also part of the meeting will be an opportunity for other non-profits wanting to share about changes in programs or upcoming events in short 1-minute announcements.
