Last month, Executive Director Stephanie Larscheid had the honor of speaking at the South Dakota Dental Association Annual Session on "Keeping the Business in the Family". During this discussion, Stephanie shared tactics and strategies to ensure a smooth business and family transition.
The audience included not only owners of dental businesses but also additional family enterprises. This mix of backgrounds led to insightful conversations on business succession across different industries. Stephanie shared her key takeaways for all in attendance: "Succession principles are the same regardless of industry: communication, family meetings, open and honest sharing and working on your plan for a number of years before executing."
