RIP SKOKIE FLYERS (once known as the Skokie Chiefs). The Skokie travel hockey club has merged with the Evanston Wildkits to become the "MAMMOTH". I feel sorry for all the other travel clubs that loved to "hate" Skokie and their "hack" players. The Vipers, former Maulers, will likely be especially distraught, Winnetka, too.
The days of marveling at the penalty box having as many Skokie players in it as on the bench will no longer grace Illinois hockey. A epoch has passed.
