As many of you are aware, the Sewerage Board consists of residents of Coin du Lestin attempting to manage finances, issues and maintenance on an extremely old system and upgrading protocols while fulfilling full-time jobs. However, many of you have been complaining, filing complaints with Environmental Services with the Parish and filing complaints with DEQ for leaks due to high tides or other issues.
The board terms are expiring and unfortunately due to the increasing issues with the system, with non-payments and issues with customers many of the members are NOT interested in renewing their terms and we are looking at the possibility of Magnolia taking over the sewerage system in Coin du Lestin.
Please share the news that we now offer paperless billing and online payments starting in January. We will need an email address to be able to sign you up for paperless billing. If you are interested, please send an email to [email protected].
Happy Holidays.
The November bills have been emailed or mailed. We apologize for the delay since we were migrating to a new system. Thank you for your patience. If you have any problems, please email us. Thank you.
IMPORTANT NOTICE!!!!!!
We are starting to offer a paperless billing system and accept online payments. If you are interested in the paperless/online payment, please send your name, address, phone number and email address to [email protected].
Jane Whitty, Treasurer is no longer with Sewerage District #2 St. Tammany Parish. Please feel free to email us at [email protected], message us on Facebook or call any of the board members.
The Sewerage District #2 St. Tammany Parish is a volunteer board of CDL residents and we do as much as we can to improve your experience with the sewerage system.
If you have issues, please feel free to contact the board members and we will do what we can to assist or rectify the situation. We also have an email address that you can utilize.
However, as residents, board members and neighbors, we do require respect, restraint and understanding in each situation.
It has been quite a while since we have provided an update for customers on the system.
Since we have so many individuals who are not receiving our invoices, we are investigating a paperless invoicing system. Your bill would be emailed to you directly instead of mailed with the USPS.
We are also investigating various options in order for customers to pay their bills through Zelle, Venmo or Apply Pay. We will provide more information when available.
We have purchased back up equipment to have on hand if a failure in the system occurs to expedite the repair and alleviate prolonged problems for our customers.
We have complaints in regard to a few locations that are bubbling. This is a reminder that when we have higher water levels, there is an issue with flooding which can put an additional strain on the sewerage system or cause bubbling.
JUST A REMINDER... that we instituted the following policy.
IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR DELINQUENT ACCOUNTS
If you are delinquent two months , you will receive a disconnect notice. If you account is not paid, water shut off by Bayou Liberty Water will occur on the 10th of the following month. Once the shut off has occurred additional non-negotiable charges will be incurred for disconnect/reconnect services. We are making efforts to make payment more efficient for customers in the future. In the interim you can utilize bill pay with your bank or you can pay in advance to carry a credit balance and write less checks (pay quarterly).
You can contact us at:
[email protected] or 985-707-3711 to resolve payment
We would like to let everyone know of the new Board of Directors and their contact information. Please feel free to contact us with any questions, concerns or requests. We look forward to working diligently to upgrade the wastewater system in our lovely community.

We've had some residents contact us in regard to the grass being high at the our locations. The board is new and trying to understand their new responsibilities. After some investigation and discussion, it is our understanding that someone was employed to handle the grass mowing but has been unable to maintain their schedule recently. The board is attempting to find an interim solution and will promptly get a resolution in place. Thank you for your patience and understanding in regard to this issue.
Our new board has already been busy at work in the two months they have been appointed. We are working to secure some funding to do the necessary repairs to make the current system operational, we are designing a maintenance schedule to increase the functionality of the current system and working on making electronic payment available. We will continue to keep you updated and appreciate your continued patience and support.
