These are the official dates when the FOMC will be meeting to discuss lowering interest rates. The market is predicting as many as 6 rate cuts this year, although the FOMC has been more moderate in their forecasts. Overall, most economists do expect interest rates to come down this year. Of course, this affects mortgage rates! It’s very possible folks could be getting mortgage rates in the 5’s by the end of the year.
Keep this in mind when doing your research!
Rates have ALREADY started to come down in the past 90 days.
The 2024 SE Louisiana market is going to be on 🔥….in a good way!

I recently had a client who “thought” he couldn’t get a home because his credit was in the 500’s. I told him let’s get you with my preferred lender and see if we can get you approved for a loan or to see what you need to work on so we can get pre-approved in a few months. We got him to a lender and little did he know.. you can still get approved with a credit score in the 500’s.
