The Friends of Smyrna Library are looking for volunteers for their upcoming Summer Book Sale. Volunteers are needed between August 3 -11. Please see below for additional information.

Our upcoming Summer Book Sale requires a lot of planning and volunteers. We have 100 volunteer opportunities to prepare for, set up, conduct, and break down the Summer Book Sale between Saturday, August 3 and Sunday, August 11. Opportunities are available for adults and students (6th grade and up). Light duty work is also available during each shift.

Volunteer duties include sorting books, pricing books with colored price dots, organizing boxed books, sale set up, keeping sale area organized during the sale, assisting shoppers, and sale break down. Learn more at https://www.foslga.org/_booksaleduties.htm

Additionally Smyrna Parks and Recreation will have inflatable bounce houses, lunch options, and giveaways. Smyrna Fire Department, Keep Smyrna Beautiful, Smyrna Library, and of course, Smyrna Parks and Recreation will all be onsite to host this community event. The event will take place on July 25th from 11AM - 1PM at Tolleson Park. The event is free to everyone in the community!
