15 years ago I moved away from Belgrade and started a new life in Chicago.

Moving to a different continent and having to speak a different language was as much of an adventure then as summiting a mountain is today.

15 years down the road, I’m happy that I eventually found myself in the mountains. Growing up in the city I didn’t know it, but I do now, that in the mountains is where I belong.

But that only leaves me with more appreciation for the place that I come from. Growing up in Serbia has taught me so many things that give me a different perspective about life. 15 years later, I am as proud as I ever was to be a Serbian, from Belgrade, that created a life in Aspen, Colorado.

Cheers to my beautiful hometown! 💜

Wildflowers are still going off! Recently discovered this gorgeous hike with .leafe! describes it as “most scenic lake in Colorado” I thought that’s a pretty bold statement but it sure was a pretty one!
