Holy crap! The Viking puts up a solid 420lb back squat at nearly 50 years old!
Incorporating unstable movements into training is a must for athletes. Your body when competing in sports is going to constantly meet unstable forces, turning movement patterns, and of course in martial arts 🥋 twisting. Teaching your body to be functionally strong 💪 and able to withstand dynamic movements is paramount for injury prevention and overall athletic performance.

Here’s another sample exercise for eccentric strength 💪 that I have combat sports 🥋athletes do. Pressure and squeeze as bjj/mma/wrestling athlete is super important, typically he who can put out the most pressure the longest will often overwhelm their opponent. Cardio vascular capacity is obviously much needed, but if you cannot maintain tension with an elevated heart ❤️ rate and the opponent can, they will likely overwhelm you during a match!

After a physical assessment we figured out he does not have the hip anatomy to move through standard range of motion. Everyone has the anatomy to lift weights 🏋🏼♀️ but not everyone can be a full depth squatter or conventional deadlifter. Great job brother!
