It’s World Water Day!

Today, March 22, is the United Nations' World Water Day, dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of safe drinking water.

We’re proud to deliver clean, safe, and reliable drinking water to our customers and to be building Pure Water Soquel, which will replenish our groundwater basin — our sole source of drinking water — to prevent further saltwater contamination and provide a reliable, sustainable, and drought-proof water supply.

Tip #10: Learn and do more!

Learn more about our groundwater basin and what we are doing to protect and replenish it with our Pure Water Soquel Project at https://www.soquelcreekwater.org/184/Pure-Water-Soquel. Then share your knowledge with others.

Tip #9: Natural alternatives

Use all natural/nontoxic household cleaners whenever possible. Materials such as lemon juice, baking soda, and vinegar make great cleaning products, are inexpensive, and environmentally-friendly.

Tip #8: Reduce, reuse, and recycle

Reduce the amount of “stuff” you use and reuse what you can. Recycle paper, plastic, cardboard, glass, aluminum and other materials.

Tip #7: Water wisely

Water your plants during the coolest parts of the day and only when they truly need it. Remember to turn off your irrigation system when it's raining!

Tip #6: Wash smarter

Run only full loads in your dish and clothes washers.
