Attention Forest Hills neighbors....be on the lookout for people who don't "belong" in the neighborhood. We have had several breakins in the past few days. TODAY (or possibly late last night) the Merck's (430 Forest Avenue) had several items stolen out of their garage - including a brand new leaf blower. If you notice ANYTHING suspicious, please call the police.
Have you seen our "Islands of Lights?"
The Maxwell Hills Neighborhood Association would like to invite residents from the Forest Hills and Duncan Park neighborhood to the National Night Out celebration and the ceremony for the lights to be turned on for the Seeing Spartanburg in a new light project. This will be held on Tuesday, October 4. Please contact Kathy Ronson (Maxwell Hills president) at [email protected] if you plan to attend so they can plan accordingly for the refreshments.
Hopefully everyone is aware that the City of Spartanburg was selected as one of four cities to receive up to $1 million as part of the Bloomberg Philanthropies Public Art Challenge, a new program to support temporary public art projects that celebrate creativity, enhance urban identity, encourage public-private partnerships, and drive economic development. And our wonderful neighborhood was selected as one of the display locations for the "Seeing Spartanburg in a New Light" project. The lights in our lake come on NEXT TUESDAY, October 4. This little guy is still with the Merck's at 430 forest ave. anyone know who he belongs to?
This little dog showed up at the Merck house (430 forest ave) and has no collar or tags. He was so week he could barely stand up. He got some food and water in him and seems to be feeling better. Does anyone recognize him?
Happy Spring everyone! We are the first in our neighborhood to get chickens. They are now 7 weeks old. Many have perfect backyards to have them. Talk with Spartanburg City Animal Control, they are very willing to help you get started. If you have questions about your property, neighbors connected to yours, etc. they will help! We were the sixth person going through the system to get them!!! Good luck, happy clucking! Ginger and Courtney
Neighbors, we are having complaints on grass getting too tall in our neighborhood. If you know the neighbors and have personally asked them, and they still won't cut, please call the City of Spartanburg, they take complaints and then work it on their end too. Since we aren't a volunteer neighborhood association, this is the best route to in hopes to get it cut.
Please welcome our new neighbors on Forest Ave. They bought the cute, yellow home, next to the Canns.
I think it would be great to get more neighbors on our page. Please remind people to like us!
