The Piedmont Club is a private dining club that caters to Members and private event clients. The Club conducts a la carte dining six days a week, Member events weekly, and other events throughout the year such as weddings and business meetings. A minimum of one year of server, bartender, or banquet experience preferred but not required. Must possess a friendly attitude and a willingness to exceed Member and Guest expectations with regards to service.

Part-time and full-time positions available. You must have good communication skills and reliable transportation. The position requires lifting, moving tables, and setting tables as well as waiting on tables. Must be able to work some double shifts.

Pastry Chef duties and responsibilities:

Operate and manage the pastry section of a kitchen, working together with the other chefs

Prepare a variety of baked goods

Decorate and present pastries and baked goods in a tasteful and beautiful way

Monitor and order ingredients, supplies and equipment

Meet with members/customers to discuss custom-made desserts or baked goods for special occasions

Ensure the bakery section of the kitchen adheres to health and safety regulations

Identify staffing needs, help to recruit new personnel

Develop new seasonal recipes and menus and keep up with the latest trends for the dessert menu

Work with the Event coordinator on special lrequest and the banquet menus

Flexibility, since hours for a Pastry Chef may vary and include weekends, evenings and holidays
