As I prepare for Black Maternal Health Week at the The Shades of Motherhood Network, I stumbled upon some photos from my last maternity shoot by Al Lockett that I've never shared before. They brought me to tears.
Dealing with infertility changes you forever. The maternal health crisis is a reality we cannot ignore. Our mothers and babies deserve the best. Even if someone doesn't die but is harmed, it's not acceptable, and a revolution must take place.
I'm sending love and peace to every story, tear, joy, and struggle in this journey. Your story deserves respect and to be heard. I believe you. I understand how it feels when everyone questions your story.
Sending strength and love.
