Hello Dance Community,

We are getting ready for our next rotation of 6-week workshops which will run April 17-May 22. We'll be teaching our Wednesday classes again, offering "True Beginner Waltz" from 5:45-6:45 pm and "Beginner/Refresher Quickstep," from 6:55-7:55 pm.

If you have never partner danced or need a good refresher of all the basics "True Beginner" is your place to begin, and we think the Waltz is the most beautiful and classical entry to Ballroom.

Most dancers with Waltz background will have the prerequisite foundation for the Quickstep, and we'd love to interest you in this fun International Standard Ballroom dance. It offers a great option of dancing to many of the Swing and Big Band tunes, but is actually based on the patterns of the Waltz, so you will readily recognize many of the figures.

After a great performance month in December, we are back to teaching and excited to delve deeper into American Smooth Foxtrot, starting January 3rd. We are also offering two True Beginner/Refresher workshops in Waltz and NC 2-Step.

This just went live - we are teaching at the The Oaks Conservatory and would love to welcome you. This class is open to Oaks families as well as non-Oaks families. Start off 2024 with something new and rewarding!
Introduction to Partner Dance (10th grade–adult)
Tuesdays 4:30-5:30 pm (01/09/24 thru 02/13/24)
Class Fee: $150/couple; $90/single
Instructor: Mark and Ingrid LaVoie
Enjoy an introduction to partner dancing at its simplest entry point. Whether you are new to partner dancing or just looking for a refresher, this is the perfect 6-week session to build a confident foundation for 2-Step. The 2-Step is an incredibly versatile dance form that can be adapted to almost any style of music and does so with dignity and grace. This class will teach lead and follow principles, as well as social dance etiquette. No prior experience needed.

We would love it if you would come out and see the show - there is a little bit of everything Christmas: Beautiful vocals, a variety of high-level dancing, and the message of Christmas ringing through.
