Farewell Miss Dusti!
After 11 years teaching at Next Step and 11 years teaching at South Pines Elementary, Miss Dusti is retiring! Hundreds of kids and families have been loved by her and she has been a blessing every single day of the last 11 years to our Next Step families and staff. Many of us don’t know Next Step without her and she will be so missed. Please join us in congratulating her and praying for her in this next chapter in her move to Florida with her husband. We are so excited for them! We love you forever Miss Dusti! ♥️🌴

And the Director’s Award goes to….. Mara! Mara has completed every level of learning at Next Step. From First Steps to Monkey Preschool to Panda Prek and finishing with Kindergarten! We have gotten to love Mara for so many years and this soon-to-be first grader is amazing! Congratulations Mara!

Many of these sweet ones will be graduating high school in just a few days and we are so excited for them! 🥰 We would love to see them now! Post a current photo below.

Gather your kindergarten class (the biggest kids at Next Step!). Talk about what it means to be a mentor. Walk them across campus to the First Steps class (the littlest kids at Next Step!) and assign them a little buddy. Watch them explode into gentle, patient, compassionate, confident and FUN leaders right before your eyes. THIS is Next Step Kindergarten.

Next Step offers 4 class levels. Each one is different and curriculum is written uniquely for each level. Daily lessons are crafted to fit each specific group of children and carefully executed to meet the needs of every child. This takes a great deal of observation and planning and it’s the foundation of what we do each day.
