We are currently looking for an outgoing and energetic auto body estimator to appraise vehicle damage to determine cost of repairs for insurance claims.
Job duties would include but not limited to
Examines damaged vehicle to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical or interior damage.
Estimates cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged item.
Reviews repair cost estimates with body shop manager or foreman
Researching, sourcing and negotiation price along with gathering quotes from local suppliers for parts needed.

You will need to be able to communicate with the body and paint techs when needed

Cuts, fits, core supports, frame rails, inner-structures, outside body panels, shrinks and expands body panels, files, grind and welds small imperfections.
Operates acetylene and arc welding equipment; power hand shears, drill press, portable and bench buffers, grinders, sanders pneumatic hammers and electric drills. Uses hydraulic jacks and frame rack to lift, push or pull bodies into shape; welds and spot welds; applies and shapes plastic fillings.
Operates spray booth; uses spray gun to paint cars and truck after being repaired. Color sands completed vehicles, buffs and details cars inside and out

Repairs shop equipment; keeps shop and equipment clean and maintained. Reports all needed repairs immediately to supervisor to help mitigate damage or repair costs.

Works closely with team members to ensure work is completed on time and in a professional manner.
