A huge thank you to everyone all across our community who participated in last night’s Night Out Against Crime events! It’s always a blast to visit the various gatherings, and this year I had the opportunity to join parties in Chief Garry, Bemis, Logan, Nevada Heights, and two downtown locations.

Thank you all! 🚔🤝 🚒

This morning, I had the joy of bringing our three-year-old to the elections office to deliver our ballots! As a child, going to the voting booth with my dad every election was incredibly important and truly shaped who I am today. Although we can't do it exactly the same way, I want to continue to recreate that experience best I can with my own son as he gets older.

Remember, TUESDAY is the last day to mail in or drop off your ballots.

Let’s inspire a better future for all by demonstrating to the next generation how much we care through our civic duty. Voting is our voice—let’s use it loud and clear! 🇺🇸

We don’t obviously have the full story here, but a great way to avoid unintentional self-inflicted or other gun violence is to train and learn how to be safe. We have an amazing gun range, Sharp Shooting Indoor Range & Gun Shop located in Northeast Spokane and they offer all kinds of trainings and opportunities to practice in an extremely safe environment.

🌟 Huge thanks to World Relief Spokane for inviting me to yesterday's tour and meet-and-greet at their new space at 512 S. Bernard. It was inspiring to see how they're collaborating with a local church to transform underutilized spaces into a vibrant community hub. Keep up the fantastic work! 👏

The Middle Eastern food, catered by a former Syrian client of World Relief, was amazing and a big hit!

R.I.P. Zeus 💙 Such an incredibly sad loss for the community. Condolences especially to Deputy Kullman and the Sheriff's Office.

Spokane County Sheriff's Office Sadly Mourns the Unexpected Loss of K9 Zeus

On April 24, 2024, at 5:30 am, Deputy T. Kullman and his K9 partner, Zeus, began their day. They worked their entire and seemingly normal shift together, making sure to take a few breaks for some fetch between calls for service.

At 5:30 pm, at the end of their shift, Deputy Kullman brought K9 Zeus home to his kennel and fed him just like they had done so many times before. K9 Zeus appeared excited to eat dinner and immediately began to enjoy his nightly meal.

The following morning, Deputy Kullman went to get K9 Zeus from his kennel to prepare for another shift as usual. However, this time was different; K9 Zeus was not anxiously waiting at the kennel gate as he had always done since becoming partners. Deputy Kullman called for Zeus, but there was no movement inside his kennel. Sadly, when Deputy Kullman checked the indoor portion of Zeus' kennel, he was devastated to discover that K9 Zeus had passed away during the night while lying on his bed.

K9 Zeus joined the Spokane County Sheriff's Office K9 Unit in December 2019 and was almost nine years old when he tragically passed away, leaving behind a legacy of service and loyalty.

K9 Zeus was Deputy Kullman's third K-9 partner since becoming a K9 handler in 2013.
