Light Of Salvation

Bill Johnson, of Bethel Church in Redding, CA., preached 3 days after losing his beloved wife, Beni, to cancer. This was a quote from his sermon:

“God is not a vending machine that I get to put a quarter into & withdraw from Him what I want. He chooses what He gives. But it is the wicked at heart that say ’God didn’t do what I wanted, He is a liar’. May I never be found critiquing God when things don’t go my way. May I always be found having a heart ready to be critiqued by Him. Is God my friend? He is. But He is my Lord first, and I’ll never have the pain I’m feeling right now in eternity, so in this moment it is a privilege to respond rightly to the Lord of my life with deeper trust and devotion. I will bow before the Lamb on the Throne in awe, and worship Him forever, but never will I have the face to face chance to do that while I’m in pain, so in this moment I choose to do that. - Они снимут твою одежду;
- Они тебя помоют;
- Они оденут тебя;
- Они вывезут тебя из дома и доставят на твой новый адрес.

Многие придут на похороны, чтобы тебя почествовать.

Твое имущество перейдет к наследникам. Не сомневайся, что о тебе, и твоих подвигах малых или больших, которые ты сделал в своей жизни будут обсуждать, судить и критиковать. Люди, которые тебя знали лишь в лицо, скажут: "Бедняга"!

Твои добрые друзья будут плакать в течение нескольких часов или нескольких дней, но потом они будут смеяться опять. Твои домашние животные привыкнут к новому хозяину. Твои фотографии будут висеть на стене некоторое время, потом их положат на мебель, а потом будут храниться в каком-то ящике. Кто-то другой будет сидеть на твоем диване и смотреть телевизор, кто-то будет сидеть за твоим столом и есть на нем.

Глубокая боль в твоем доме будет длиться неделю, две, один месяц, или два, один год, или два ... Тогда ты присоединишься к воспоминаниям, и тогда твоя история закончится. Завершится среди людей, завершится здесь, завершится в этом мире, но твоя история начинается в новой реальности... в твоей жизни после смерти.

Твоя жизнь земная, где ты мог двигаться телом, где придавал значение вещам, что ты имел здесь, теперь потеряют смысл или значение.

ИСЧЕЗНУТ:
красота твоего тела;
имя;
фамилия;
имущество;
кредиты;
рабочая должность;
банковский счет;
автомобиль;
дом;
академические титулы;
трофеи;
друзья;
мужчины/ женщины;
дети;
семья...

В своей новой жизни, тебе нужна будет только твоя ДУША. Единственное свойство, которое будет у тебя это - ДУША. Поэтому примирись с Богом и пытайся жить полноценно для Его славы и быть счастливым, пока ты есть здесь, потому что, как сказал Франциск Ассизский:

"Ты не возьмешь отсюда то, что имеешь. Ты возьмешь лишь то, что ты дал"!

“A rattlesnake bit one of my sheep in the face about a week ago. Deadliest snake that lives around here. The sheep’s face swelled up and hurt her terribly.

But the old rattlesnake didn't know the kind of blood that flows through the sheep. Anti-venom is most often made from sheep's blood. The sheep swelled for about 2 days but the blood of the lamb destroyed the venom of the serpent.

I was worried but the sheep didn't care. She kept on eating, kept on drinking and kept on climbing because she knew she was alright.

Often the serpents of this life will reach out and bite us. They inject their poison into us but they cannot overcome the Blood of the Lamb of God that washes away the sin of the world and the sting of death. Don't worry about the serpent or his bite, just make sure that the Lamb's Blood is flowing through your veins.”

Patience is not simply "teeth-clenched" endurance, it is an attitude of expectation.

Be Civilized!

Don’t feel sorry for or fear for your kids because the world they are going to grow up in is not what it used to be.

God created them and called them for the exact moment in time that they’re in. Their life wasn’t a coincidence or an accident.

Raise them up to know the power they walk in as children of God.

Train them up in the authority of His Word.

Teach them to walk in faith knowing that God is in control.

Empower them to know they can change the world.

Don’t teach them to be fearful and disheartened by the state of the world but hopeful that they can do something about it.

Every person in all of history has been placed in the time that they were in because of God’s sovereign plan.

He knew Daniel could handle the lions den.
He knew David could handle Goliath.
He knew Esther could handle Haman.
He knew Peter could handle persecution.
He knows that your child can handle whatever challenge they face in their life. He created them specifically for it!

Don’t be scared for your children, but be honored that God chose YOU to parent the generation that is facing the biggest challenges of our lifetime.

Rise up to the challenge.

Raise Daniels, Davids, Esthers and Peters!

God isn’t scratching His head wondering what He’s going to do with this mess of a world.

He has an army He’s raising up to drive back the darkness and make Him known all over the earth.

Don’t let your fear steal the greatness God placed in them. I know it’s hard to imagine them as anything besides our sweet little babies, and we just want to protect them from anything that could ever be hard on them, but they were born for such a time as this.
