Introducing NSFP’s Student Office Assistant, Ellie! She’s one of the awesome people on the other end of the phone when you call our office. Some of her favorite memories from her first year include roomie megabed, after-class walks on the Centennial Trail, concerts, hammocking with friends, and the famous Kennel Campout.
Ellie is great at answering any questions new Zags and their may have, and she is always happy to be a helpful hand in navigating the huge transition to college. ❤️💙

Makena’s passion for helping first year students feel like they belong makes her the perfect person for planning Welcome Weekend and Zagfest, along with some other awesome events, which means that she and Kendall work together often (and are also the best of friends). Payment for the 2022 Fall semester is due TODAY! Health clearance and final submission for transcripts and AP/IB scores are due TOMORROW. Our final Core Team spotlight is Claire Barrett (She/Her), our Student Leader Coordinator. Claire is a sophomore double majoring in Psychology and Biology from Prescott, Arizona. Claire is in charge of hiring and training the student volunteers that lead orientation weekend. She is looking forward to welcoming incoming students and their families, as well as helping current and new students create connections with each other and the community at Gonzaga. She is looking forward to planning a fun and engaging orientation for the new Zags in Fall 2022, as well as getting to know them and assisting them in their transition to GU. She is most looking forward to providing the best, most inclusive, and fun orientation experience that incoming Zags could have hoped for. Anisia is a junior from Tacoma, Washington, and is a Sociology major with a minor in Critical Race & Ethnic Studies (CRES). Anisia plans and coordinates events for New Student Orientation/Fall Family Weekend and oversees the development and implementation of pre-orientation programs. Anisia says "Working for NSFP is totally out of my comfort zone! I’m looking forward to challenging myself, making new friends, and kicking off my senior year with New Student Orientation hoping to create a great introduction to GU for the first-years."
