The 2024 pumpkin patch is planted, thanks to the much-appreciated help of friends and family who pitched in! Not our favorite task, but it feels great to have it done! And thanks to our friends at Vets on the Farm for the auger tip. It was a huge time saver!
SOLD OUT! That’s a wrap for the 2023 season. THANK YOU so much to everyone who visited us this year! It was so fun seeing so many regulars and meeting new pumpkin pickers! We look forward to seeing you all again next year. We appreciate all of you supporting us and our pumpkin patch! ♥️🎃♥️

Another update! We will NOT OPEN SUNDAY! 😢 The back-to-school germs have been running through our household this week and it finally hit me! I don’t want to spread it any further. For sure we will open next Saturday! So sorry to delay again! ALSO, would anyone be interested in giant pumpkins - like 40-50 pounders??? I didn’t grow them but I have an opportunity to get some from a local farmer. They’d go for around $25-30.
SATURDAY 10/1 EDIT: NOW OPENING NEXT SATURDAY! See new post! Hello! 🎃 Update on this year’s pumpkin patch: We will be open, however, this is definitely not what we’d consider a successful crop. 😕 We don’t have nearly as many pumpkins as we’d hoped but we do have enough to sell. Also, the pumpkin patch itself is not in great shape. We had way more w**ds than ever before, which we’ve managed to only moderately control. And the ground is very uneven and bumpy. Wear sturdy shoes if you plan to come out! I’ll also have some cut and placed out for those who don’t want to risk the treachery! I had planned to open Saturday but I need to delay one day. Our first day open will be this Sunday from 11 am to 4-5 pm. I will open again next Saturday and again Sunday, but I’m kind of anticipating we’ll be sold out after that. I will update on this page though. Thank you!
Hello! The pumpkin patch is looking much better than it did at this time last year and we are fully anticipating that we will be open this year! QUESTION: We’re considering offering pumpkin patch apparel (hoodies and T-shirts) but we can’t decide if it’s a good idea or a terrible idea! Help us out if you’ve got a minute and let us know your thoughts in this survey:

Spring is officially here, which means pumpkin-patch planning is underway! Here's a sneak peek at some fun new varieties we are trying this year.
Just another sad reminder that we won’t be open this year. Today should have been our first day open. 😔 Please remember us for next year! We will be back! 🎃
BAD NEWS: I've been putting off posting this because I'm so heartbroken about it, but there will be no Hangman Valley Pumpkin Patch this year. 😢 Due to a variety of factors (yes, the heat and drought being part of it), for the first time ever, our crop basically failed. We have only a handful of pumpkins that grew - not enough to make it worth opening. We will so miss seeing all of our pumpkin pickers this year. PLEASE remember us for next year! I promise we WILL be back!
This year’s planting season was tough. It’s been hot. It’s been dry. We were only able to get two rows of w**d mat down. And the week we needed to plant we had record-breaking heat. So we planted at night and decided to forgo the w**d mat. Little nervous about that so we’ll see how it goes. On the plus side, we got almost 900 pumpkins planted, which is about double what we’ve ever done, and we are experimenting with some new, bigger varieties. So far, so good! Fingers crossed that our well doesn’t run dry as this hot and dry summer persists! 🎃
Field prep, step 1.
These guys are ready to get in the ground! 🎃
This is the start of our biggest pumpkin patch yet! We sold out so quickly last year we are nearly doubling up this year with 1,000 seeds started.
