Zaks Mushroomz Shak

Another tub of Toque finished up! It's now one of my favorite strains to grow! Great flushes and nice sized fruits evenly throughout! Plus the look is awesome especially the caps. For a 6qt dubtub and 1:2 1/2 , Casing layer. Set and forget for the most part. Till the end end when I gave it FAE the night before harvesting it. Started 8/17 sent straight to fruiting conditions. About 75°F on average.

Another Amazonian tub! Harvested larger ones and then left the rest over night and they all grew and larger and had the veil break on most by the morning time. It's worth harvesting half a tub or in other words, harvest the larger ones that are done or near ready. Then close the tub back up and wait for the rest to finish. This is especially helpful when only half of the yoyal amount of fruits are ready and the other half is not ready just yet.

Amazonian looks really interesting! Not a tub packer so far but I did rush it to get it going.

Toque and Pearly Gates coming in hot! Still a bit to go but definitely speeding up compared to colonization time and waiting for pins to turn into fruits. Once they get past pins they explode in size. Especially with these ones! Last photos were of closed lids

Albino bluey Vuitton! Thought it would be done today but most of it isn't. So maybe tomorrow! It's a fun one to see grow!

Toque first flush and from spore swab to agar to grain then straight to fruiting conditions. They turned out awesome and definitely have the classic toque look. This first flush I harvested because they were soft and getting the blue speckles which is fine but they were done. I do want to see how they do when pushed a day longer maybe even 2 days longer. To have the cap curl up to make for a real toque like toque lol

OG APE on 2nd flush! Throwin some cool caps with white sprinkled dots and wrinkled similar to a spicy pepper 🌶 lol a few at least. Anyways again proof it's worth doing multiple flushes! Doesn't hurt nothing!

Amazonian made it's way to the finish line! Definitely cool dense little fruits. Not as plentiful as I'd hope for but I'll dial it in. Sometimes just takes cleaner spawn or more substrate. Hard to know but regardless any tub making it to the finish line is a good thing! We all know how things can go Sometimes.

Getting the room organized! Was in basement but this is going to help out a lot being next to my room instead! Plus its always fun to rearrange things and have new areas to experiment with. Another room will be for a work area in near future. Work in progress! Lab is still functional in basement so we'll see if it stays there. Lol now for the other room. The waiting room! 😅

OG APE! Small but very strong as well as beautiful! This tub actually had a friend pop up. First time I've seen a little plant sprout up lol

Finally after 74 days this beast is done!! It's not always easy getting to this point sometimes it's lots of work and patience. Mr krinkle Brains is done! It's said that it can begin to rot inside the brain formations if not harvested in time. But also is a balance act cause you also want to maximize your yeilds. So this one was tricky compared to other strains. And that means learning new thing's from this type of mushroom. Definitely interesting grow! HTF brains is next up!

Mr. Krinkle Brains also coming in nicely! Finally started to show some blue and greenish spots on the tips of the fins. Definitely a cool one to grow! I wouldn't recommend for beginners, but eventually any mycology hobbyist should try their luck with a brain strain. Or Enigma. Whatever you want

A couple tubs coming in nicely! These are new ones coming out of my library. Mr. Krinkle Brains are the first pictures, the last two are HTF brains. Obviously both are brain variations but they stem from different beginnings. Anyways it's always fun to try to grow out many kinds of mushrooms. That way you can experience the variety of formations and visuals! These are going to be amazing once finished I'll get more pictures to share.

Don't ever buy new things that are to good to be true! Fake ass products. Might as well say you smoke spice too! And no not deems lol buy local. Not hype

LC- liquid culture, is a great way to make a lot of culture! Turn a small amount of culture into a butt load of culture. It's also easier to inoculate jars or bags with LC compared to spore Syringes or agar. Lots of AIO kits and bags sold are a rip off because they sell them with spore Syringes. And it's not easy to get spores going when you don't put the spores to agar first then to LC or to bags/jars. Anyways don't be fooled by AIO bags and kits sold with spore Syringes! Lol that's my daily advice.

Albino bluey Vuitton finishing up! Another great looking tub of these. Very dark blue gills will appear soon. Almost has a Shakti like cap. Always fun seeing the different types of growth. As well some OG APE and Humble APE tubs on their second and third flushes. Some people don't go for a second or third flush. But it's worth it if you have the space!
