Does anyone know of a licensed business or such that would change out burnt out florescent lights? It's for my business that has a 12 foot ceiling so we can't just do it ourselves.
Update on our COVID-19 policy
As we all know, indoor mask mandates are being lifted statewide on March 12th. This is a big change and we've talked a lot about our policy going forward.
After the 12th we will follow state policy and no longer require masks to design custom framing or enter the store. However, we understand that a good many people might be nervous about the mandate lifting; whether feeling anxious about the change, feeling they're lifting too soon, or any number of reasons. We admit to feeling anxious ourselves; it's been a rough 2-plus years. There are some that have heath issues and can't be vaccinated therefore are rightfully worried about their health.
So, for the time being we will still have masks on our persons and are happy to wear them for customers that wish it, no questions asked. We will continue to run our hepa-UV air filter, keep frequently washing hands (we did that already, lest an oily fingerprint ruin matting or harm someone's artwork), and keep surfaces disinfected.
If anything changes we'll update this post. We look forward to serving you in 2022 and beyond.
The health and safety of our customers has been our number one concern during this pandemic, and we want to assure everyone that anything we propose going forward is done so with that in mind.
According to CDC guidelines, people who are fully vaccinated (both shots for Pfizer or Moderna +2 weeks, or the single Johnson & Johnson shot +2 weeks) no longer have to wear masks. Jennie and I are on course but not yet fully vaccinated, so for the time being we will certainly be wearing our masks. We should be fully vaccinated after the first week of June. After that, anyone that would be more comfortable with us wearing masks can rest assured, we are more than willing to accommodate without question. Again, your health and safety is our number one concern, and if you even just feel safer with us masked, we will happily do so. To be honest, we're not sure if we're going to stop wearing masks for our customers as a policy even after we're both fully immunized. Time will tell.
We ask, for the time being, that our customers still wear their masks even if they are fully vaccinated. This is both to protect our health and the health of any customers, and in consideration of everyone's piece of mind. Again, this is a respectful request, not a mandate by us. We cannot, nor do we have the authority to, ask for proof of vaccination. We ask this of our customers with their privacy and their well being in mind.
We are requiring, for the time being, a limit on the number of customers in the shop at one time. Until today, that limit was 2; we will now be allowing 4 customers in the shop at one time. Designing custom framing takes time, and our shop is small, so a limit on the people in the space is done with everyone's safety in mind. This limitation is subject to change based on any new information or guidance from the CDC.
We invite any respectful feedback to these policies, and again, we make them with everyone's health and well being the top consideration. Know that we will continue to keep the shop disinfected as well as possible and we've always kept our hands washed. One oily fingerprint can ruin an hours work. Thank you for your time and consideration.
