I always say don’t overcomplicate it! In the shower use your hands to lather your breasts and armpits. Feel for any lumps, thickening, or other changes. After your shower, look your breasts in the mirror. Look for any changes in shape or for any skin or ni**le changes.

It’s quick, easy and could save your life!💕

If anything stands out to you as new or different, make an appointment with your doctor or other healthcare practitioner to have it checked out. Always trust your “gut.”

The beauty of screening each year is being able to catch breast cancer when it is TINY, before it has a chance to spread. For our patients this means less extensive treatments and most importantly - survivorship!🎀

The American College of Radiology (ACR) has never wavered from starting annual screening mammograms (at the latest) at age 40, because it saves more lives than starting at 50! MANY women should start earlier than age 40 depending on certain risk factors. ACR guidelines now urge women to get a risk assessment by the age of 25 to determine if earlier screening is for them!
