Many women should start screening sooner!

We recommend getting a risk assessment evaluation at the age of 25 in order to customize a screening protocol that is right for you!💪🏻

The Breast Center has recently taken a stand for the health of young people in the Ozarks! By becoming a contractual partner with BCFO, we are able to cover the cost of diagnostic mammograms, ultrasounds, and biopsies that qualified U-35 applicants receive at The Breast Center's facility. At BIO our technologists specialize in delivering gentle care and excellent images. They have decades of experience performing mammograms and our patients can FEEL that difference!💕

If you’ve sworn off mammograms after having a bad experience we implore you to come - give us a shot! We will show you that a mammogram should, in fact, not be painful.✨

I always say don’t overcomplicate it! In the shower use your hands to lather your breasts and armpits. Feel for any lumps, thickening, or other changes. After your shower, look your breasts in the mirror. Look for any changes in shape or for any skin or ni**le changes.

It’s quick, easy and could save your life!💕

If anything stands out to you as new or different, make an appointment with your doctor or other healthcare practitioner to have it checked out. Always trust your “gut.”

The beauty of screening each year is being able to catch breast cancer when it is TINY, before it has a chance to spread. For our patients this means less extensive treatments and most importantly - survivorship!🎀

Previvors: 💕Those who have a higher chance of developing breast cancer compared to the general population but have not been diagnosed. They may have inherited genetic mutations, a family, history of breast cancer, or other risk factors.  options to manage their risk include monitoring, medication, and risk reduction surgery.

Survivors: 💪🏻Those who have undergone breast cancer treatment and have no signs of cancer.

Thrivers:✨ This term is used in the metastatic breast cancer community to describe those who are living with their breast cancer, and still thriving.
