π Celebrating 5 Years of Jeniβs Sobriety! π
Today marks a significant milestone for our beautiful Peer Recovery Specialist, Jeni Cornelison β 5 years sober! Your incredible courage, determination, and resilience are truly inspiring.
Jeni, your journey is a testament to your strength and commitment. We are all so proud of you and honored to celebrate this achievement with you. FTC and our participants are better because youβre on our team!
Graduation days are always bittersweet but weβll say this one was a little extra bittersweet!
Today, we celebrated FIVE new FTC graduates and all that they have accomplished! (And let us just say, their support networks SHOWED UP!!ππ»)
Additionally, today, our FTC Coordinator, Ashley Armstrong, shared that this would be her last FTC Graduation in her current role as she will be taking on a new position with Children & Family Futures working with other FTC programs across the country beginning in August.
We are so thankful for every staff member and participant that touches our program and we wish nothing but the best for Ashley and our graduates! Congratulations to all! ποΏΌ
π£ Special shout out to Springfield Recovery Community Center for hosting us! You all are always so helpful and instrumental in making sure our event goes off without a hitch ποΏΌ

Last Wednesday, our regular FTC was cancelled due to the Juneteenth holidayβ¦ but donβt worry - our team and participants stayed BUSY!
Our amazing Parent Resource Coordinator (Lindsey) and Peer Recovery Specialists (Carolyn/Jeni/Stacy) put on two family friendly events for our participants and their kids to attend in place of court.
Up first, a paint event where our families got an extra opportunity for parenting time while they painted new artwork for Judge Hosmerβs court room!
Meanwhile, our FTC Coordinator (Ashley A), Clinical Director (Ashley M), and Burrell Peer Emily T. Co-facilitated their very first Celebrating Families! Group Leader training for FTC staff as part of their process to become train the trainers through National Association for Children of Addiction!
Lastly, our PRC & Peers hosted another awesome event at CASA of Southwest Missouri where Chef Grandma taught our participants how to make a new crockpot recipe! Families who participated also got to take home a cookbook and a crockpot!
Needless to say, we are SO proud of all the hard work our team put in last week for the betterment of our program π€
Sending love and appreciation to all the amazing fathers out there on this special day! π«Άπ»
