Today is National Beverage Day and we couldn’t be more excited. This day encourages us to sit back, relax, and enjoy our favorite beverages. With that being said, be aware that sugar sweetened beverages have high levels of sugar and drinking these can significantly contribute to tooth decay. Regular and 'diet' soft drinks, sports drinks, energy drinks, fruit juices, fruit drinks and cordials also have high acid levels that can cause tooth erosion. Make sure you are brushing, flossing, and keeping your dental appointments!

The Origin of National Toothache Day is unknown but we suspect that is probably initiated by a wise dentist who wanted to bring attention to this common and painful affliction.
