Level 1.5: 5-6
Beginner: ages 6-8

So excited to have our Shalom Movement Alumni back at the studio! Rachel Cantrell will be teaching beginner, intermediate, and advanced hip hop. Rachel Cantrell
danced all throughout her high school career, in the studio and on a dance team. She was the choreographer for the White House Heritage High School Dance Team for a year. Within that year she and her team went to Alabama for a competition and to Louisville, KY for nationals!

💃🏻SWING DANCE CLASS TONIGHT! 💃🏻Come join us for a fun class lead by The Mrs.Lee Marie Astier! No experience needed! This will be an easy beginner level class that’s made for everyone. Come with a partner or come solo! 10+ can come, but only if they’re with a participating adult! This can be a fun activity you get to do with your child. It’s an opportunity to see why your dancer loves being at the studio so much❣️

We know it can be a bit scary starting or restarting dance as an adult, but we are here for you! Fridays this summer we will have adult classes featuring a different genre every week. Whether you have no experience or tons, ditch your nerves at the door and come have some fun!

Looking forward to seeing each of you at AUDITION DAY! Today, April 30th (4:30 pm) in Studio C at Shalom Movement. Welcoming dancers ages 6-18 years old, 3 years required of ballet training. Dancers should arrive at 4:00 pm to receive your audition number and begin stretching. Please be dressed in a black leotard, ballet tights, bring all dance shoes, have your hair in a neat bun and be ready to perform. ⭐️ Breathe.

Soloist Alex Grimes performed beautifully tonight placing TOP 10 overall with the highest scoring category 5-STAR PREMIERE and received scholarship to perform on a cruise line next year! We are so proud of you! Choreography by Hope Borthick set to Harry Styles “Sign of the Times” 🏆📽️🎞️

“Bashville Stampede, the largest breakdancing jam in the south, is drawing talented kids from other dance schools across states for this exciting competition. Ensure your kids seize this opportunity by in this thrilling event. Held at Rockettown on March 23rd, the competition kicks off at 1pm. Make sure you get there at 12:15 to ensure ample time for registration. Ensure your child is signed in the correct category at the designated desk in Room One. Tickets will be available for sale at the door on the day of the event at the normal price of $35.” -Coach Q

In honor of Black History Month I wanted to post some dancers who have paved the way, opened doors, and created the techniques we learn today. This post doesn’t even scratch the surface. There are so many things these dancers have done and so many other people that have made huge breakthroughs. Even though this month has come to an end it’s never too late to do research and learn more about history!

It is almost time to take the stage! Last year we brought French Pop, Marvin Gaye, Frank Sinatra, and Spice Girls. What will we bring this year? Come see for yourself!
