Founded in 1932, Sons of The American Legion exists to honor the service and sacrifice of Legionnaires. S.A.L.
members include males of all ages whose parents or grandparents served in the U.S. military and were eligible for American Legion membership.

Wreaths Across America is in full swing. Over 1000 volunteers here on this beautiful day honoring our veterans.
Join us this morning as we lay wreaths on our veterans graves. We broke our goal of sponsoring 100 wreaths so thank you everyone!
We will be at Alexandria National Cemetery at 9:30 a.m. today.

Squadron 176 is partnering with Wreaths Across America this year!
On December 16, 2023 at 09:30 am, Sons of the American Legion Squadron 176 will be helping Alexandria National Cemetery to Remember and Honor our veterans by laying Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes.
Please help us honor and remember as many fallen heroes as possible by sponsoring remembrance wreaths, volunteering on Wreaths Day, or inviting your family and friends to attend with you.
We would greatly appreciate your support in sponsoring a wreath! Wreaths are $17 each.

Happy Veterans Day! Annual celebration with the American Legion and VFW.
Afterwards there was food in the hall and cards made by the local school thanking veterans.

When relatives of Air Force veteran Tracey Rogers had trouble clearing her funeral home bill, the SAL stepped in and paid the remaining balance. Shown in the picture is Squadron 176 Finance Officer Kevin Campbell handing a check to Ms. Rogers' son, Dominique Copeland.

Our Squadron meets on the second Tuesday at 7:00 in the Game Room at Post 176. Members of the Legion Family are encouraged to attend.
We are an active squadron who is trying to get more involved with the community and post. We sponsor scholarships, and hold events at the post annually, our largest event being a Pig Roast in September.
