I keep getting messages or comments where people make fun of me for not having the amount of “followers” they think is significant in their delusional world.

I want to say this: Not once have I asked for fake followers or “followed back” for the sake of whatever social GAME is going on online. Every person connected here is organic. And I appreciate that.

Now we got “Billy” sharing memes and his profile says 17k followers. Or “Sally” who complains about her nails to 10k followers. They’ve all cheapened any significance having online connections once had.

I don’t see ANY content hardly EVER by ones I am actually following. Facebook has become a sewage system of click bait, advertisements, and people desperate for numbers when they have nothing to say or to contribute to society. Facebook used to be like saying hello to people on your neighborhood. It’s changed so much. It doesn’t make sense to me anymore.

If you’re connected with me, it’s because we want to be connected. And I thank you for that. I can’t even tell anymore the difference between a “like” or a “follow.” The numbers are way off and don’t make sense. I’m just grateful you’re here. So thank you 🙌🏻

Update:
It's official. I will be leaving in two weeks to begin a SOLO music adventure aboard the MS Westerdam. I will be visiting The Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, and multiple cities in Japan and China.

I'd love to have friends come to celebrate 2024 with me and wish me well on Jan 6th at Cellar + Plate in Springfield, MO USA. Reserve a table and let's enjoy some quality time together from 6:30-8:30. Song requests are welcomed 🙂 Hope to see you there! Event in the comments

What an absolute honor to be asked to sing the National Anthem by the Branson Veterans Task Force today in remembrance of the Pearl Harbor attacks.

Looking out at the hundreds of people saluting, or with hands over their hearts, singing in unison with me… I thought of my mom. I thought of those lost in that 1941 attack. I thought of the women and men who sacrifice themselves for something they believe in. I also thought about the many innocent lives in Japan that were lost… who had nothing to do with attacking America. Innocent lives always get caught in the middle of war. Including those of veterans themselves.

Thank you for your service. Keep your heart pure. Sending you love and gratitude. You and your family. You are honored.

Throw back to when I was visiting my friend Jen a few years ago (yes I was BLONDE as blonde could be). This song “Companion” I had completely forgotten about. How do you think of words to describe moments so meaningful... where its arms reach down into a grave where you laid your inspirations and creative bandages, then yank you from the dirt and lay you atop the resting place?

Max's voice has haunted me for decades, unknowingly serenading my steps through a forest where I thought I had been abandoned. Reaching a clearing encircled with shapes and colors telling stories of a vagabond journey, I recognized the footprints of those who had purposefully chosen these woods. There was never a desertion. It was a glorious prison break.
Here the former inmates sit together in safety. Away from the arrows of judgment and ridicule. Fully present. Guided by a Robin Hood of bravery and authenticity. Maid Marion gleaming by his side, lighting up the space where we can feel protected.
Almost human.
Warming ourselves by the fire we set to the conventional.

How appropriate that Max's piece I purchased is named, "OPEN SESAME!"

My band and I did a tribute concert the week after Cranberries front woman, Dolores O’Riordan passed away a few years ago. We were asked by the great filmmaker Jet Ainsworth, if his production company could create a documentary from the concert. Honored, I humbly accepted. And they are re-releasing the new edit on Dec 15th.

**COMING DECEMBER 15** Concert, 23 minutes. Only days after the tragic passing of Dolores O'Riordan (The Cranberries), Krista Meadows & The Sleeping Giants pay a properly rocking tribute in this concert film.
