Every year at our final all staff meeting we present our employee of the year awards for Vacation Station. This year, Henderson Vacation Station’s employee of the year is Kayla Smith! She is kind, caring, and great with the kids! We have been so lucky to have her this year, but unfortunately for us, today is her last day. She is leaving to go work in Disney World with the alumni college program! We wish her all the best!!

Another fun fall break day! We had a harvest festival today with mummy races, knock down the can, pumpkin ring toss, pumpkin tic tac toe and tattoos! In exploration the kids did a fun experiment outside with a pumpkin! 🎃

Today we had apple pie in a cup and the kids loved it! They also participated in more fall activities. We took advantage of the beautiful weather this afternoon and had an extra long recess! What a great week for fall break!

Vacation Station staff from all 10 sites came together this evening for our Fall All Staff meeting. We talked about professional development opportunities for the year, listened to a facilitator lead out a session, got to do a learning walk through different lesson plan center ideas and reflected on their current practices! We appreciate the hard work they put in all throughout the year!
