Good morning everyone, and Happy International Coffee Day!

Had no clue this was a thing, but I'll never turn down an opportunity to enjoy a cup of coffee. Especially a nice, fancy latte. I have a little goal of someday learning how to make latte art, just so I can put a cute little heart or autumn leaf on my coffee. It's the little things in life that make the days so much brighter!

Good morning, and welcome to the first ever Safe Haven Saturday post! (the name is still a work in progress.)

I am definitely still learning (and have much left to learn) about social media, marketing, and the like. One tip I've seen repeatedly is, "Be Authentic." So, in the spirit of authenticity, I'd like to discuss something that I've been interested in as of late.

Everyone has heard of self care in the form of bubble baths, yoga, 'treat yo self', etc. However, there's more to self care than that. Self care is something that recharges you, replenishes your soul. And it doesn't always look as pretty as it does on Instagram. Personally, my favorite form of self care is running. I'm not very good at it, and I'm always a wheezing, sweaty mess by the end, but it really helps me feel better for the week ahead -- which is all that matters!
