On May 8, we experienced a ransomware attack. Over the past two weeks, caring for our residents has remained our highest priority, and we wanted to take a moment to thank all of our associates, nurses and providers for their tireless efforts and resilience as we navigate these challenging times. We also want to thank our residents and community members for their patience throughout this cybersecurity event.

On Friday, A group of Square Dancers came to show off their talents and engage our residents and staff in a little "'ol fashioned" fun!
We promenaded the afternoon away, then enjoyed root beer floats.

Leafy Greens two ways! We enjoyed learning about the health benefits of this months super food, and ate a delicious salad and drank a smoothie...both jam packed with greens!

National Skilled Nursing Care week is being celebrated from May 12-18 and this year’s theme is “Radiant Memories” - quite fitting as our compassionate and caring staff continue to help make strong and lasting memories with each of our residents.

We greatly appreciate the hard work dedication from all of our care teams across Ascension Living. And, for our residents and family members putting their faith and trust in our teams to help provide personalized and supportive care.

4 wonderful Representatives from Mary Kay came to Sherbrooke Village yesterday, to pamper our residents with Mother's Day Makeovers.
We started with Facials, experimented with a little cheek, lip and eye color, and ended with a Satin Hands treatment.
The residents all looked and felt beautiful!

Mother's Day Tea was a hit! Our residents and their guests enjoyed a lunch of Chicken and Wild Rice Soup, Bacon and Spinach Quiche, Fresh Fruit Salad, Dressed Leafy Greens as well as Tea and Muffins.
The dietary staff at Sherbrooke always impresses with a beautiful and delicious culinary experience!

We had a great turn out for Bingo yesterday!
Big "Thank You" to Zack with St. Croix hospice, as well as Amy from Solace hospice, for providing donation baskets and volunteering their time to assist with our guests!

It was a beautiful day for some gardening! Yesterday residents got to assist in the beautification of our community; the flowers and colors add a pop to our courtyard!

April's Teaching Kitchen focused on "Mushrooms" as our superfood. Stacey made some delicious Quiche incorporating mushrooms, and Seamus talked with class participants about the nutritional benefits of this superfood. Mushrooms aren't everyone's favorite, but this tasty recipe converted a few sceptics.

Pigs in a Blanket cooking class! Daisy waited patiently for hot dog scraps, and observed for quality control.

Solar Eclipse viewing Party at Sherbrooke. The residents enjoyed a lovely day outside, witnessing a historical and much anticipated event.

Looking for a fun snack idea today? Show your grandchildren what actually takes place with a yummy snack afterwards!

If you plan to be at Sherbrooke for the viewing, we have Eclipse glasses at both reception areas! We also have designated viewing areas for our residents and their guests, to ensure a fun and safe experience.

Sherbrooke Village residents and staff came today dressed in Red, and all things Cardinals, for the home opener! We all enjoyed a Gus's pretzel, even Daisy! Bring home a win boys!

Last week we honored the doctors who serve our community. A big "Thank You" to Dr. Koya, Dr. Won, Dr. Fortunato and Dr. McCann. Your work with our residents is greatly appreciated!

Friday, The Easter Bunny stopped by Sherbrooke to deliver hugs and treats! We dyed eggs and had an egg hunt, and enjoyed a Good Friday Fish Fry!

The residents had a visit from "Jay the Magician" yesterday, and each got a fun balloon creation. It was smiles all around!

This , we thank the medical professionals who go above and beyond to serve patients. Thank you for your sacrifices and commitment to providing safe, quality and compassionate treatment.
