Yessss!!!! It's Monday! And that means afternoon classes like Tutting with Theo at 2:15p.m. and our client favorite, Kpop with Patrick at 7:00p.m! We have been loving this weather and the company at the studio. Let's keep the momentum going and start out the week with something cerebral in Tutting or some big energy in Kpop! First day back for youth classes was a success!!! See you all again on Thursday!!!!

With so many great classes this fall, we thought they would pair nicely with an incentive to try them all. Pack Dance has morning, afternoon and evening adult drop-in dance classes. Our classes are open level and welcoming to all movers. Try our specialty, Contemporary classes. Or maybe you prefer some classical styles like Jazz or Ballet. Need something restorative like Stretch or something high energy like West African? Whatever it is you're looking for... you can find it at Pack Dance.

The unlimited monthly class option can be booked online, but the membership that includes personal studio practice time has to be reserved by email request at [email protected].

Our Fall Adult Class Schedule is starting to appear! We've got Improvisation on this Sunday at 9:00a.m. and all classes will be in place for the fall offerings by August 22, so head on over to https://www.packdance.org/adultclasses and check out the new offerings!

Our tech team on the catwalk checking out our performance space for the Student Dance Concert this November! We will miss The Marcelle, but we love a good adventure. We're going to make this space work thanks to the help of our friends over at Shakespeare Festival!

What is a catwalk? It's an elevated walkway in a theater (sometimes covering a lot of ground space and other times, very thin and scary!) Where lighting, sound and other theatrical elements convene

I (Artistic Director Arica Nyamsi) have LOVED showing these progressions from our concert Woman! It's so wonderful to look back on all the stages of creating concert dance. We hope you've enjoyed these too.

This piece, Kalopsia, was choreographed by Lexi Lewis and features dancers Katie Nemeth, Marlee Doniff, Grace Mohr and Doline Colenburg. It was such an incredible addition to our concert. Lexi is preparing new work for Disruption 2025, stay tuned for dates and times.

Izzy and Doline performed in "Man of the House"

This piece was co-created by many Woman cast members. In this section, a friendship between a single (by choice) woman and a q***r man develops out of a common thread of living against societal norms in the 1920s. Depending on the environment these two find themselves in, they take turns "protecting" each other against predatory men.

Woman was created with support of M-AAA, RAC, MAC and individual donors.

From wars to endocrine disruptors, workplace landscapes, and mental health crises, Pack Dance explores the impact of disruption on individuals and communities. Our artists investigate social upheaval, technological shifts, and other significant disturbances to prepare for a unique concert dance experience. Coming Spring 2025.

Hey you! Have you signed up for youth classes yet? Tiny Dancers (pre-dance for ages 3 - 6), Youth Classes (for ages 7 - 12), Teen Classes (for ages 13 - 19) and Adaptive Dance (for children with disabilities) all still have spots remaining and scholarships as well!

At Pack Dance, our scholarships are need-based, not merit based and can assist with any barriers a family may be experiencing that keeps them from participating in dance classes like tuition, transportation, costumes, shoes and food.

Capturing meaningful moments in concert dance pieces is truly a skill. We are so lucky to be working with Dave Moore Photography. Here is a progression from our Artistic Director's phone to what Dave can capture in the studio and finally what he captures on stage. It's incredible to see this evolution. It's also rare to get the same still in theater because Dave shoots live, no photo calls, no staging to capture any particular moment.

Meet the Junior Company. Sage is in her second year as a Junior Company dancer but nearly her 9th year with CKDC. She performs in both the Junior Company pieces being performed at Woman. One piece explores how friendships change due to social pressure at school as two long-time friends try to hold on to the connection they once had.
