Today, we commemorate Juneteenth, honoring the moment when freedom's promise finally reached those in Galveston, Texas in 1865, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. On this day of solidarity and remembrance, we celebrate the resilience of our community and find joy in the liberation that dance brings! ✨

Virtual audition announcement! 📣 Saint Louis Dance Theatre is seeking one male-identifying dancer for a partial season contract from January 6, 2025 through June 1, 2025.
Submission Deadline: Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at 11:59pm CST

Only complete applications will be considered, and applicant must be available to visit St. Louis for a 2-day rehearsal process during the week of July 15, 2024. (detailed schedule to be mutually agreed upon if selected).

Our Fall Concert (RE)Claim, October 24 - 27, 2024, will kick off our (RE)Imagine season with a collection of stunning works by cherished artists of varied generations: Robert Battle, (Miami, FL) following his 11-year tenure as Artistic Director of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Battle shares his beloved duet Unfold set to “Depuis Le Jour” performed by the legendary opera singer, Leontyne Price. This concert will also feature world premiere works by Artistic Director Kirven Douthit-Boyd and renowned guest artist Jamar Roberts (Miami, FL), described by Dance Magazine as “a choreographic voice of uncommon force and originality.

We’re stoked to introduce Brandon Hudson, who will be teaching Jazz and Musical Theatre during Session 3 of our 2024 Summer Intensive! ⭐️

Brandon Hudson is an Entertainment Industry Veteran based in St. Louis. Since receiving his B.A. in Dance from Lindenwood University in 2013, he has gone on to work and train with some of this generation’s most iconic talents.

Some performance credits include: Dolly Parton’s “Christmas On The Square” as Randy (Directed and Choreographed by Debbie Allen) on Netflix, A Swing/Samuel Seabury Cover in the Original Broadway Cast of Hamilton: An American Musical, as well as Original Broadway and Developmental Cast of “Head Over Heels”. Background Vocalist to Mickey Guyton for the 2022 Superbowl National Anthem, Guest Starring as Rick in “The Gr**go Hunters” coming to Netflix in 2025, back up to Cool and the Gang, Jennifer Hudson and more.

Director/Editor and Choreographer credits include: Freedom: A Short Film detailing sobriety through the eyes of comedian Corey O’Brien (which received online praise from Yahoo, Huffington Post, Buzzfeed and others), “Haunted House” A Short Film (for indie artist Tanja), 877- Sell Easy National Commercial, Witness Uganda: An American Musical’s “Be The Light” ft. Ledisi, Baby Storme, The Foxies.

Owner of - a video production co. and editing service helping clients bring various types of content and performances to life. The birth of this business began out of craving for stability in an unstable entertainment landscape. Brandon hopes to continue to work his way through the industry to know how to better lead the next generation of artists. He is elated to be home and begin to give back to the city that trained him. Let’s move! ✨
