An Acoustic Christmas with Over the Rhine
In 2024, more than 25 years after releasing their first holiday CD, Over the Rhine is still at it. This year, they will be leaning into some harmonies and making an intimate but hopefully holy ruckus. "It won’t be all Christmas music: we’ll certainly mix in tunes from many of our records along the way. But hopefully it’s still true: hopefully you haven’t heard anything quite like it."

Is there another songwriter so fearless and inventive? Neko Case returns to The Sheldon demonstrating how she has bent decades of pop music into new shapes. Neko Case wields her voice like a kiss and her metaphors like a baseball bat. She has cast the fishing net of her career wide—from Seattle and Vancouver to Chicago and Stockholm, setting up her home base on a farm in New England.

Widely regarded as one of the foremost songwriters of her generation, Suzanne Vega emerged as a leading figure of the folk revival of the early 1980s when, accompanying herself on acoustic guitar, she sang what has been called contemporary folk or neo-folk songs of her own creation in Greenwich Village clubs.
