Last week was a great start for school year and we hope everyone had an amazing weekend as we begin our second week.

Senior opposite Kristen Kaempfe set a new career high in kills (20) while Sophomore Riley Watson set a new career high in assists (42) on Saturday afternoon as the Fontbonne University volleyball team earned two wins at the Central Tournament.

We are proud to announce that Dr. Nancy Blattner, CSJA, has been selected as the 2024 recipient of the prestigious Founders Award. This honor recognizes Dr. Blattner's outstanding contributions and distinguished service to the community, embodying the founding values of quality, respect, diversity, community, justice, faith, and Catholic presence that are integral to the mission of Fontbonne University and the Sisters of St. Joseph.

The Founders Award, first presented in 1986, symbolizes the recipients’ connection to the rich history of the Sisters of St. Joseph, whose legacy began on October 15, 1650, in LePuy, France. The award not only honors Fontbonne alumni for their exemplary community service but also recognizes individuals with direct affiliations to the University who have made significant contributions, regardless of their alumni status.

Through this award, we aim to raise awareness of Fontbonne University’s impact and the remarkable achievements of its alumni and associates. It serves as a public affirmation of our educational and social mission, showcasing the vital role that service plays within our community.

- Proud moment today!While attending the first Ignite: Peer-To-Peer Leadership Conference - focused on the nation’s efforts to champion Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals - I was honored with the 2024 National Campus Advisor of the Year Award amongst over 400 Dance Marathon programs!

As we barrel into the final year of GriffinTHON programming before sunsetting our ten years of work in March of 2025, this award could not have come at a better time. It’s a true reminder of why I have devoted my time, talent and treasure to an organization that continues to inspire me and countless others to change kids’ health to change the future.

Thank you for the kind nominations and the constant reminder to strengthen and share my philanthropic heart. I hope I’ve made you proud. 🩵💜💛
