It’s the final day of game design and animation camps!
Game design and animation summer camps are in full swing!
The Webster Forensics and Debate Team, which recently won a national title, has moved from the School of Communications (SOC) to the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS). The move was made to better align the team’s functions with the programs offered in CHSS.
“This transition aligns with our College’s mission to foster critical thinking, inquiry, and debate, empowering students to positively impact the global community,” said CHSS Interim Dean Danielle MacCartney. “The Forensics and Debate program offers all students the opportunity to enhance their speaking, thinking, and reasoning abilities through participation in competitive speech and debate. Any student can join the program, and participation in the program qualifies students for membership in the national forensic honor society, Pi Kappa Delta.”
For more information about forensics and debate, contact Jensen at [email protected].

A huge congratulations goes out to School of Communications student Sarah Vallo on being named a recipient of the 2024 Elaine Chapin Scholarship!! Sarah is a current student double majoring in interactive digital media and graphic design. The Elaine Chapin Scholarship provides funds to support the post-secondary education of students impacted by multiple sclerosis, either directly or as a family member.
"I was diagnosed with Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis at the end of the summer of 2023. It answered a lot of questions I had as to why things didn't seem to work right in my body and brain. I was very quickly put on very intense treatment to slow the progression of my disease. I was about to enter my sophomore year at Webster and I was worried how this would affect my education. My outstanding care team has equipped me with so many resources to help me continue life as normal, including the Elaine Chapin Fund Scholarship. The Elaine Chapin Fund Scholarship is a fund set up to help those affected by MS to help continue their college education. I am so excited to be a recipient of the scholarship this year!" -Sarah Vallo
