New paintings!
Beheld Time, 11" x 12"
Crimson Cascade, 37" x 25"
"Rainbow Lake", oil on panel framed in hard maple, 16.25" x 21"
This painting is an accurate interpretation of my personal happy place. This is the place in my mind, the instant go to when life throws me a curve; a place to relieve my anxiety, sorrow, pain and uncertainty.
Open your heart and transmute the divide by sharing peace, love and light... 🫶🏼 Julie Malone
"Kükkini Thálassa" (Red Sea), 26.5" x23"
Oil on panel, 2022. This vibrant red in contrast with the teal, cocoa browns and delicate highlight hues held me captive as I painted... feeling like I was taking a huge risk. Abstraction, especially landscapes, are tricky. Then, suddenly it all came together. Many artists know that satisfying dopamine moment... when the voice in your head says, "that's it!". This is definitely one of those paintings.
Unfortunately this photo just doesn't express it fully and like most work, it's best seen in person. Available exclusively through Houska Gallery, St. Louis.

My daughter's perspective drawing project 🤩
I've decided to share a few paintings that I have donated in hopes to help raise more funds (to what I believe) are deserving organizations.
I am choosy, giving only if it feels good in my heart and personally meaningful...
As it should be, right?
Two of my favorite events are this weekend & both on the same night. Here is the first!
Bilingual International Assistant Services 4th Annual Trivia Night
They have this wee little, landscape as one of their prizes. I think that makes a nice, pretty decent price… Don't you?
12" x 13" titled, "Road to Effigy" oil on panel
**Yes, a traditional, more realistic application. I often "practice" by looking at nature and painting my perception of it. It's good for the ego. ☺️
Why Bilingual International?
I chose to donate to this cause for many reasons but I was deeply moved by the compassionate nature of their services. I read that they offer heath services, specifically mental health service assistance, to ANYONE. All the people! no matter "who what or where" they literally have an outreached hand TO ALL - my heart swells knowing this.
Everyone deserves compassionate care in all the medicines. Sadly mental health is overly stigmatized & too often ignored. I am moved by this thoughtful service and the many more BIA provides. I am happy to support them.
I will post Bilingual International Assistant Services contact info in comments

Most of these are from my most recent exhibition, ELEMENTAL In addition, there are paintings from recent years but also some much older paintings. "Sunday" pictured in link, is from 2014. This, and more, was reacquired from a collection who's owner recently passed away.
Houska Gallery has re-designed the entire gallery utilizing every inch... gorgeous! Plus, they have added an, accessible "vault" presentation area where you can browse through tons of work by all of their featured artists.
I encourage you to GO SEE the current exhibition, tour the fresh redesign and ask about the vault! Happy collecting!
