Walking and navigating uneven surfaces: Strong balance helps you walk confidently on uneven sidewalks, avoid tripping on curbs, and maintain your footing on stairs.
Doing chores around the house: Whether reaching for something high on a shelf, bending down to pick things up, or carrying groceries, good balance makes these everyday tasks smoother and reduces the risk of falls.

Here's how to understand functional threshold power (FTP) in a super simple way:
Easy Riding: You're coasting along, chatting with a friend. You can keep this up for hours (low power output).
Picking Up the Pace: You start pedaling a bit faster to get somewhere quicker. You can still talk, but it's harder (medium power output).
Going All Out: You're pushing hard, breathing heavily, and can barely talk. There's no way you could keep this up for a long time (high power output).
FTP is the sweet spot *between those last two zones*. It's the highest power you can maintain for about an hour without completely blowing up. Think of it like the "comfortably hard" gear on your bike.
Here's why it matters:
Training: When you exercise at your FTP, you're building your endurance and getting stronger for longer rides or runs.
Goals: Knowing your FTP lets you set goals and track progress. Did you hold your FTP for 10 minutes longer this week? Awesome!
Remember: It's not about going crazy fast. It's about finding the sustainable challenge that makes you fitter in the long run.
Finding joy in fitness isn't about forcing yourself to love burpees (although you might grow to appreciate them later). Shift your mindset and try to discover the fun:
💃🏼Focus on Movement You Enjoy: Maybe you hate treadmills but love dancing. Explore different activities - swimming, hiking, rock climbing, martial arts - until you find something that feels fun!
