The Del Rendon Foundation is committed to supporting local art and music in the Golden Triangle. Del Rendon passed away on September 4th, 2005.
The goal of the Del Rendon Foundation remains the same, to spread awareness of Del Rendon's life, art and music. He lived in Starkville, MS at the time of his passing. He was among other things a talented artist and musician. His love for life and compassion for others touched many lives in a positive manner. Donations to the Del Rendon Foundation can be made at https://casterbunch.wixsite.com/web
Vendors are set up for the Black Cat Market here at the Del Rendon Foundation space at 100 GT Thames by Starkville Physical Therapy. Live music inside and lots of fun art outside (some inside). The rain seems to be getting out of here so come on over and buy some kookie art and listen to awesome tunes.
The Del Rendon Foundation is providing space for the Black Cat Arts Market organized by Dorry Wu () and Bailey Herring-Carr () with at least 18 cool vendors on Friday, September 27 from 5:30 to 9:30 at the Del Rendon space at 100 GT Thames just off of Stark Road beside Starkville Physical Therapy. This will be an outside activity and weather dependent.
The next MacGown Art artist in residence will be Rosemary Jones, owner of Pink Plaid, who will be staying with us from 4 through 18 November, 2024! Rosemary is a fashion designer, writer, painter, and organizer of numerous local and regional events including fashion and art shows. Thanks to the Del Rendon Foundation, the Mississippi Arts Commission, and other private sponsors for support of our residency!! Stay tuned for updates on visits and other activities with Rosemary.

ARTIST BIO:
"My name is Rosemary Jones and ever since I was young, I have always been fascinated with the language of the unsaid - the expressions we carry that are far more potent than words could ever convey. This fascination and wonder have presented itself into my art forms - whether this be through writing, painting, body painting, fashion designing, community events, or dancing.
Within my he(art)work, I find myself most driven by saturation and circulation. My creations, physical or not, often mirror embodiment of lessons. In order to create, I understand that things have to die, too. This is where circulation comes in, bringing a constant momentum to all it is that we do. Whether this be by giving a voice to inner thoughts via poetry, allowing movement to unravel stagnancy through the body in dance, or taking preloved/secondhand materials and giving them a new life via fabricating a new garment. On a larger scale, it continually blesses me the way I am able to connect to the world around me through these channels of expression. What a beautiful modem it is to communicate far beyond our languages, but rather tap into this familiar, universal language."

Hi everyone. The Del Rendon Foundation is hosting an Art and Music Bazaar this Friday at our building off of Stark Road. We have reached out to a handful of Food Trucks here in Starkville about providing coverage for our event and haven’t gotten any takers. I think part of it is based on the fact that our event is new and there is no guarantee that it will generate the public response necessary to have a truck on site (although we are pretty excited and feel good about Friday). What we have decided to do is offer a $400 “spot fee” to a responsive and reputable food truck business that is interested in making their truck available during the time of our event (6:30 to 9:30pm at 100 GT Thames, Starkville MS). If interested, please DM us and we can work the details. We would pay the spot fee upon arrival to the site on Friday.
