The 50th Annual Prairie Art Exhibition continues today, Saturday, April 13th, in the Studio 96/Sterling Community Center gallery, 121 S Broadway Avenue, in City of Sterling, Kansas. Hours today are 1:00 - 4:00 PM. The exhibition closes tomorrow, Sunday, April 14th, with a reception for the artists & the public starting at 1:00 PM. If you've made a purchase, or need to retrieve your own pieces from the exhibition, this Sunday is the day to do so! The gallery will remain open until 4:00 PM on Sunday for those purposes! Pictured in our front window today is the 2018 addition to our Permanent Collection, an oil painting by Hutchinson artist, Peg Stephens, "The Last to Go."

Our 1975 Purchase Award, "Stubblefield," an oil by Jinx Wright, will continue today as the featured piece from our Permanent Collection. Featured today in the gallery's front window is one of the earliest extant "purchase award" pieces, "Stubblefield," an oil painting by Jinx Wright of the Sterling/Lyons/Hutchinson region, and is dated 1974.
