We are just days away from the premiere of “Educating Oklahoma: Keeping the Promise of Public Education.” Hear from Bill Peeper, a Cushing High School teacher featured in the film.

Fueled by a deep love for athletics, Addy Lovett is pursuing her dreams of serving college and professional athletes by studying recreational and athletic management at .

Equipped with a strong foundation from OSU, Lovett is currently completing a summer internship as a training camp equipment intern with the Detroit Lions. In this role, she works closely with professional athletes and has learned the inner workings of an NFL team‘s operations.

BreAnna Peeper is a 2024 scholar. She is passionate about Wishes for Water, an OSU student-run nonprofit that raises money to drill boreholes at schools in rural Zimbabwe. She serves as the organization's director of brand promotions. BreAnna was active with the Emerging Leaders Alliance, a service project bringing awareness to the food pantries on campus. She was a member of the President’s Leadership Council and the Early Childhood Education Club.

Oklahoma State University and the United States Air Force are partnering to inspire high school students with dreams of taking to the skies through the Aim High Flight Academy.

OSU is one of only eight universities nationwide chosen to host this esteemed program, which provides scholarships to high school students for a three-week introductory flight program.

“The Ray and Linda Booker OSU Flight Center is honored to host the United States Air Force Aim High Flight Academy for the second year in a row,” said Tom Joyce, assistant manager of the center. “This program gives our Certified Flight Instructors the opportunity to develop and motivate the next generation of pilots, and it allows our Flight Center to support the military in a unique and meaningful way.”

As we continue to celebrate the Child Development Lab’s Centennial, we’re spotlighting former students and teachers.

Today, we’re highlighting Dotty Oelkers, an OSU alumna and former CDL student.

"In the fall of 1964, at age 18, I walked to one of my first classes at OSU," Oelkers said. "As I approached the Child Development Lab, I realized I had been there before. My mom told me I attended the CDL during summer sessions in the 1950s when I was about four years old. At the time, she was completing her master of science in home economics while I was a student at the CDL. When I became an OSU student in the 1960s, I completed hours of observation there. I have cherished memories of my time at the CDL as a child and college student. Congratulations on 100 years of nurturing children into healthy, productive adults."
