VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! We are still looking to fill a few volunteer slots on Saturday. Volunteers receive free admission to the festival and a t-shirt in exchange for a 3 hour shift. Please send me a message or email [email protected] if you can help! This might be a good way to gain admission if you forgot to buy your ticket before we sold out. ;)

All tickets are now sold out for the 2024 Festival on 9/14. No tickets will be sold at the door. We are grateful for your support and are excited for this weekend!

We're so honored to be celebrating our 19th anniversary with you on 9/14 and would like to tell you a quick story about the earlier festivals...

In the early years (2002-2006), we would build a temporary stage for the festival each year, use a jet parachute as a canopy, and re-purpose Clear Channel vinyl billboards as a screen. We've always poured the ticket sales and grant $ into the artists. But in 2006, it rained and Warren Creager decided he was going to build a stage for 2007. Over the years his stage has endured and influenced our identity with it's re-purposed materials, metal roof and clean lines. Something about this stage projects the sound out into the amphitheater just right, and it looks great next to the windmill. Thanks Warren Creager! Your stage is the cornerstone of this event!

Remembering the life and music of Mimi Parker Join us Sunday, Nov. 13, starting at 6 p.m. Central for five hours of programming in honor of the late Mimi Parker of Low.

My family & I wanted to say a deep & heartfelt thank you, on behalf of The Square Lake Festival, in loving memory of Mimi Parker from who passed away recently, and who shared so many transcendent musical moments with us. So this morning at dawn I put these roses out on the stage where she played just a bit more than a year ago for Low’s stunning 9/10 & 9/11/22 “Hey What” album release shows. At those performances, attendees threw roses on the stage during Low’s set. Here forward, we’ll always have roses🌹as a reminder of the beautifully tragic dance of our life, and the regal magic of music. I’ll also treasure the conversations I had with Mimi about her sizzle rides and floor tom. 🙏

We’ll be at this event tomorrow night, and you should too! We love all things Low.

A year ago today, the Square Lake Festival had the distinct honor of hosting two nights of release shows for their album “Hey What.” It was pure & perfect alchemy. There were moments during some songs when I felt a Saturn V rocket was taking off in my backyard…. There were moments between Low songs when crickets and flocks of geese sang. All this unfolded on a stage my father built, on land where my family lives. What an honor. Those who were at those shows tasted the fruit of decades of Mimi & Al’s labour. On this one year anniversary, we just want to express our gratitude & love to the band. 🙏

Such an honor for my family & I to host Day I of Low's album release for "Hey What" yesterday. Low's alchemy, radiating from the stage my father built, inspired by my mother's long family traditions of music.
Many people worked hard for months to realize this night. 🙏
