CITY OF STILLWATER HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTIONS EVENT

Are you needing to get rid of some clutter? The City of Stillwater's Watershed Quality Division will conduct a Fall Household Hazardous Waste Collection event at the Convenience Collection Center on Saturday, October 29. During this event, residents are encouraged to drop off household pollutants free of charge. This event continues to help citizens reduce the amount of household pollutants in their homes while ensuring these pollutants are properly disposed of.

Accepted Items: oil-based paints, pesticides & herbicides, household cleaning products, mixed fuels, fertilizer & lawn care products, pool chemicals, craft & hobby supplies, rechargeable batteries, unwanted pharmaceuticals, computers, copiers, cell phones, VCRs, stereo equipment, lead acid batteries, keyboards & mice, and latex paint (for a fee).

In conjunction with this event, the Convenience Collection Center will be open to receive: tires, oil, antifreeze, automobile batteries, rechargeable batteries, scrap metal, latex paint, fluorescent bulbs and other everyday recyclables.

Not-accepted Items: alkaline batteries, fire alarms, lab waste, ammunition, explosives, mixed chemicals, ag or off-road tires, compressed gas, cylinders, commercial waste, refrigerators, air conditioners, light bulbs, and dehumidifiers.

Open transition from kitchen to living area, upstairs bonus rook for the kids, Sunroom for your plants, or a big back yard for the furry family members. We all have a "Have to have" list.
