Nothing fancy. Just meditate.
Here’s your : I know how hard it can be to find time to just sit and meditate, but we all have 30 seconds. 30 seconds to slow down our breath, relax our shoulders and tummy, and unclench our hands and jaws. ❤️❤️
Just Forgive. It’s that simple. Okay, maybe it isn’t so “simple”, but what’s the alternative? Hanging onto anger? Staying triggered? Replaying in your mind all the nasty things that you’re going to say whenever you get the balls or the chance? And carrying around that heavy load until you do? Nah…we owe it to ourselves and to our peace of mind to just forgive. Release it. That’s self love. Mantra of the week: I forgive ______.
Our soulful Mothers Day sound bath had to be one of my favorite experiences. Intimate and beautiful. I am so thankful to have been able to share it with so many loved ones. It was truly a team effort pulling this off (special thanks to Sina, Khali, Aunty Olivia for your help, and to Matt Matt for making it possible)! And it is always such a joy to collaborate with Ata and his many brain tingling instruments. #209
This spoke to me today. Too often I ignore my intuition for fear of being wrong, then later kick myself for it. Why do we fear being wrong? There are valuable lessons in being “wrong”.
I vow to do better. We are wiser than we give ourselves credit for. 💙💛
Some days feel heavier than others. Commitments, regret, loss, doubt and other hurdles in life can make us want to disconnect and stay in bed and do absolutely nothing. I’ve struggled through many of those days. But gratitude pulls me through. Being reminded of the good, the grace and mercy I have received, the mini and macro accomplishments, the people who add smiles and kindness to my life, the love ❤️I get to give and receive…those things give me the strength to push through. Life is hard. But we have the tools to overcome and find peace. You are STRONG 💪🏾 and CAPABLE 💫❤️

In 2020 the world shifted, and I shifted with it. I didn’t know that two years later I would assist others with meditation and relaxation. I just knew that I was stressed and angry. I wanted the world to change. I wanted peace.
But it was I who needed to change. I now embrace the fact that I am and will always be a work in progress. And I am so humbled by the beautiful souls (family, old friends and new friends) who have joined me on this journey of self healing and self love. Together we will be the change needed in this world, in our communities, our families, and for or own well-being. And I am so grateful that my first public solo guided meditation and sound bath gig was at a venue I have gone to for years for my own physical and mental health: Studio !

Where do you tend to hold anxious energy in your body? We are often unaware that some part of our body has “tensed up”.
For me, it’s the clenching of my teeth (both while asleep and awake) and my shoulders raised. Checking in with your body throughout the day helps release that tension and invite relaxation into your life, even if just for that moment.
So excited to be in this beautiful space at The Catalyst on Yosemite Street today for our sound journey. It’s going to be pretty epic!

Loving yourself is not just how you feel about yourself, it’s also about how you care for yourself.
Take time out, even just for 2 minutes, to take a few deep breaths and enjoy (not just drink) a glass of water, or tea, etc.. Remind yourself of what’s good in your life, then jot those down in a notebook. Also jot down thoughts taking up space in your head. Get a notebook 🙂.
Take a walk…with your phone off. Be with yourself. You’re a pretty cool person to be with ❤️. And smile.
