It is Flag Day and Sunday is Father’s Day! In honor of my dear father, Robert Belshe, I have raised his American flag at the Pharmacy today! (Too bad there isn’t much wind, but I also got the light fixed, so he can wave all the time!)

I took yesterday afternoon off, because I’d be working all weekend on behind-the-scenes stuff. Got here early Saturday morning to this wonderful welcome from my staff!

Here is a very brief history: After working together for 8 years at Green Brothers Pharmacy, Charlie Green and Marie Cottman built PCPC in only 800sf at 505 Lincoln Center. They opened in May 2006 with one pharmacist and one technician. Shortly thereafter Lincoln Center moved PCPC to ~1200sf at 312 over in the Atrium (and tore down 505 to build Papapavlo's). We grew slowly to a staff of 4 and partnered with Jerra Banwarth (from Prescription Solutions) and installed the cleanroom in 2012 to make sterile compounds. In 2013, Marie was featured on the cover of the Chronicle with Debbie and Meredith (we had so much fun!) In 2014, before we remodeled again, Robert Barsamian joined the ownership team. We also had the opportunity to host a blood drive for cub scout Cruz! It was a great success! 2015 we were under construction to take over the 311 unit next door (2500sf total) and hosted a Grand Re- Opening in August with Dr. Cockerham. We participated in the Women's Health Week in 2017 and for many years we hosted Super Sonoman Wine during the summer Wine Stroll. We had several guest speakers 2016-2019. Our team had grown to twelve by 2021 and in April 2022, Don and Marie took their first vacation together for their 25th wedding anniversary. As Lincoln Center had filled up, in November 2022 we had committed to moving to March Ln (5200sf) and we have been under construction ever since!

We are very excited to announce that we are moving soon to March Lane! Unfortunately, Lincoln Center didn't have room for us to grow and the compounding laws are changing again (effective 11/1/2023) so we are building a brand new cleanroom and compounding lab to be ahead of the curve!
Though there is still a lot of work to do, we wanted to show off some of the progress! We are proud to be the only full-service compounding pharmacy in Stockton!
We are getting new doors installed today and we have a ton of space to add new staff as we continue to grow!

We had such a good time at the San Joaquin Pharmacists Association crab feed on Saturday that we forgot to take photos of our staff at the event!
We were visiting with colleagues and friends like the Ravnans! Fortunately, there is photographic proof that we were enjoying seeing old friends, our VIP tables, and lots of good crab! We will be back next year!

This is Marie & Don Cottman, both are pharmacists and owners of Pacific Compounding Pharmacy in Stockton. And here is a little story ❤️❤️❤️

Between 2006-2007 I suffered three miscarriages. It was horrible & I was so confused. Being only 23/24 years I didn't have friends who had experienced any loss so it was really hard and lonely. When I went to the doctors and fertility specialists I was not comforted much at all. I got a quick "yep, happens a lot, sorry" and shooed out the door.

After the third loss, I vowed to figure it out on my own. I researched relentlessly online (remember how slow dial up internet was 😩) and started to learn it could be that my body was lacking hormones to keep my pregnancies. We finally got pregnant again sometime around July 2007. I immediately went to a lab for blood work. Sure enough my hcg count was very low and indicative of another miscarriage. I was devastated. With a 2 year old on my hip, racing to my drs office with tears in my eyes I begged the desk lady to help me get an immediate appointment. She refused. After 10 minutes of arguing and some choice words out of my mouth, I left.

I called another dr in Lodi and the greatest nurse ever, Lynette Byrd answered. She calmed me down and got me right in. She confirmed I would not make it through the weekend without losing my baby. Lynette prescribed me a medication that could only be picked up from a compounding pharmacy.

Here is where Marie comes in ❤️

Marie called me and told me the medication would not be ready until 6pm. She said that her office closed at 5pm but not to worry, she would lock up and wait for me. After such a traumatic day, this woman I didn't know, waited for me. I showed up, she unlocked the door and basically, she saved Carlo.

She didn't have to stay. She didn't have to help. She went above and beyond for a stranger. And without her I know he would not be here. To say she's an angel in our lives would not even be enough.

Carlo turns 9 this year. Everyone absolutely adores him & he is the best addition in our family. Losing those 3 babies was devastating but I wouldn't trade it because then I wouldn't have him. From then on I made a promise to myself that I would try to always give other people the best I have. Because how we treat others does matter ❤️

Being able to take him in to meet them was very special and very emotional!! Thank you to them both for giving us Carlo!
